It's a bit worrying.

You've got Hafeez and Malik who are older/worse reflexes. Junaid worse since injuries. Amir worse fitness and bowling since ban. Haris is also less fit/more injury prone after his long injuries.

Then Sarfraz, Umar, Yasir who have all lost fitness, as well as not looking as good anymore for a number of years.

I get it, even if they're not at their prime if they're still good enough they have to play. But it's a little worrying having so many of these. That's 8 players I've named right there.

Realistically we could be looking at half our team in the WC who will be playing past their prime.

Form is one thing you can suddenly get it back again, but simply being past your prime is hard to fix. You've just got to accept those limitations.

The worrying thing is that most teams especially the top teams don't really struggle with this issue at all. Look at Australia, it seems like they don't have this issue at all. Same with England. India have this problem with only one player Dhoni, but at least he was an ODI ATG so reduced performance for him still might be ok. NZ, SA again, they don't have an issue.

Not even comparing how good our players are to this side, but just on this issue alone it's a concern.
