I'd like to share something here. Me and my older brother, our father has never refused us anything ever till date. But he did tell us something when my brother was is the 10th standard, I was in the 5th standard back then. It's obvious that a lot of kids back then (in the 90's) asked for a two wheeler after they passed their 10th exams.
It was then when our father once told us to never ask him for a 2 wheeler. Why? His reason was that he has never refused us anything, but he'll have to refuse us if we ask him for a 2 wheeler. Our father himself suffered an accident during the days in the 80's when he used to ride his motorbike. Both me and my brother understood his feelings and we never asked him for a 2 wheeler ever.
What's disturbing is that I have lost 5 of my friends to accidents as a result of them riding their 2 wheelers. It has hurt me a lot in the past. I have always, always demanded the 6 best friends of mine to never buy or ride on a 2 wheeler. Thankfully they have listened to my advise.
Anyways, my best childhood mate from school was supposed to be here at my place for a week, he was supposed to arrive on the 26th of this month.
And what I hear from from him an hour ago is that one of our common friends met with an accident today morning while riding his motorbike. A truck ran him over and he broke multiple ribs of his, he is in the ICU of a hospital in Bangalore and is battling of his life.
This is so disturbing. The guy can expire any moment.
It's reasons like these I have always, always advised my friends not just to buy any 2 wheeler but also not to ride in them. I have seen so many tragedies of my friends to my relatives, all because they met with an accident since they were riding their 2 wheeler.
All I can do is pray to my Lord Jesus for his life.
