Be always positive about Shahid Afridi you never know what he does.

He might score a quick 50 or even take 3 wickets :D:D:D

you mean always be postive.

Afridi, take the rough with the smooth I guess

Thanks bro, at least we're getting somewhere!

I reckon about 122 off 65 for Afridi, starting off relatively (RELATIVELY) sedately then launching :D

Match Report

Harwood takes three early ones

02/10/2005

By Ken Piesse

More than 4000 were at the St Kilda Cricket Ground for the start of the much-awaited 100-over exhibition between the Rest of the World and Victoria in ideal 20 degree springtime conditions.

Batting first, the World XI scored at a run a ball early, Virender Sehwag and Kumar Sangakkara delighting the crowd with a full array of shots.

The pitch, used on Saturday for a club fixture, was fast and flat; ideal for quick scoring.

Having made 32, Sehwag succumbed to a slash to third man, Grant Lindsay on debut holding a nice catch during first-change Shane Harwood's opening over.

Harwood claimed the prize wicket of Jacques Kallis (6) on the hook shot and all but trapped Brian Lara lbw before he'd reached double figures.

Sangakkara fell for 42 when he chipped Tim Welsford, on at third change, to mid-wicket. Harwood snared a third big-name scalp when Lara (8) was neatly taken at square leg by Michael Klinger, playing his first match for Victoria in three years. The game is a warm-up for the World team which takes on Australia in the first of three one-day internationals in Melbourne from Wednesday.

Harwood snared a third big-name scalp in his fifth over when Lara (8) was neatly taken at square leg by Michael Klinger, playing his first match for Victoria in three years.

Given a warm reception, English Ashes hero Kevin Pietersen on-drove a four first ball, before also falling to Harwood, having been dropped the delivery before by Brad Hodge at mid-on.

Hodge's miss was the first blemish in an otherwise crackerjack Victorian fielding exhibition.

Just back from a highly successful year of club cricket in northern England, Harwood had four for 17 from his first eight overs.

The game is a warm-up for the World team which takes on Australia in the first of three one-day internationals in Melbourne from Wednesday.

gayle out for 37 - stumped.

cameron white got him. rudi koetzen gives it.
i don't think it was out from commentators point of view but there is no 3rd umpire. and the crowd was boooooooooooooed the decision

but still Unfair decision would be unfair:D

Sehwag, Sanga,Gayle,Lara,Pieterson.Kallis makes 6wickets and afridi could be 7

Well if this is important than Pieterson should not play because Afridi made more than him
