6/56 in 8.4 overs for Awais Ali

At this stage, you look for the basics and not the full skill set. And this guy's basics look good. Smooth action. Decent pace. If he works hard and gets the breaks, he has a chance.

not sure if hes the one i saw on some of the streaming, but his bowling action looked a bit like shannon gabriel. wide chested big loop with the front arm.

Any bowling video?.

Some of his wickets from the game against Zimbabwe

The lad looks good.

Some work to do in terms of run-up and getting closer to the stumps but looks like he's sending the ball down at a decent pace.

Our fast bowlers are too erratic right now. I saw his spell and he too was too erratic, trying too bowl bouncer every third bowl and trying to do too much and in doing so bowling too many wides.

Wicket number 7 for him - vs Afg

Looks ordinary but takes wickets - go, figure.

Got a bit about him this lad.

Not always accurate but bowls some excellent deliveries.

The run-up isn't great and I'm surprised the bowling coach Rao Ifthikar hasn't done some work on it with him.

Was more impressed with him than Zeeshan Zameer.

Was getting serious bounce and carry to the keeper.

Wickets against Afghanistan:

Keeps on taking wickets, this lad!

He's more impressive than Zeeshan but won't get as much hype because he's not as quick. High arm action, gets it to swing and seam around, decent pace, relatively accurate. Definitely something to work with.

He has looked double the player zeeshan is.i hope he plays for one of the domestic teams.

I like the look of this lad. Just needs to add a few more yards of pace and be more consistent with his accuracy we could have a gem here

He is very young , really looks 16, long way to go for him, pace will come and will improve with time . He will never be an express bowler but can become a very good fast medium in 3-4 years. Hope will get into FC cricket next season.

Named in the ICC U19 World Cup Team of the Tournament:

The other bowler who sits above him in the wicket standings is Awais Ali of Pakistan who claimed 15 wickets in his six matches, including six for 56, one of only two six-fers in the tournament.

The right-arm medium pacer opened up the tournament with those six wickets against Zimbabwe and was consistent as Pakistan finished in the top five for the fifth consecutive competition.

15 wickets in six matches

Best figures of 6/56

Average 15.80

Economy 4.67
