So as per this explanation general Asim Munir was invited by Donald Trump to talk about ceasefire
====

Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Thursday stated that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif played a vital role in facilitating the ceasefire between Iran and Israel.

Speaking during a meeting with religious scholars ahead of Muharram-ul-Haram, Naqvi highlighted Pakistan’s behind-the-scenes contribution, saying, “There is a uniform behind this truce as well,” in reference to the military's role. He added that the nation should take pride in its part in achieving the ceasefire.

Joined by Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, Naqvi addressed scholars from various sects, expressing gratitude for their continued role in maintaining peace.

He praised the efforts of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, Chairman of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, for promoting unity among different religious schools of thought.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of religious harmony during Muharram, noting that Imam Hussain (RA) is a revered figure for all and that peaceful observance of Muharram is a top government priority.

He also stressed the need to involve religious scholars in counterterrorism efforts, especially in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, where communities are more vulnerable.

Reflecting on recent conflict with India, Naqvi claimed that with divine help, Pakistan emerged victorious. He said Indian missiles failed to hit their targets while Pakistan responded responsibly, avoiding civilian harm. “One of our missiles struck an Indian oil depot, deliberately sparing civilian lives,” he noted, adding that Pakistan’s victory has quadrupled the nation's enthusiasm for Independence Day celebrations.

Reaffirming Pakistan’s support for peace, Naqvi again referenced the country’s role in brokering the Iran-Israel ceasefire, highlighting the involvement of Pakistan’s armed forces.

Talal Chaudhry praised the contributions of religious scholars in fostering unity and encouraged them to continue supporting the fight against terrorism. He underscored the bravery of Pakistan’s security forces and stressed the importance of remaining united against sectarianism and external threats.

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad also commended Pakistan's role in promoting peace and tolerance. Citing Operation Bunyān al-Marsūs, he said Pakistan had responded strongly to Indian aggression based on false accusations. He praised the military and government for their leadership, adding that success is granted by Allah.

Azad also acknowledged Iran’s robust stance against Israel, calling Pakistan’s role in the Iran-Israel conflict both “honorable and significant.” He concluded by assuring that Muharram-related activities were proceeding peacefully, urging people to adhere to their own beliefs without inciting division or conflict.

Separately, Pakistan reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the Iran nuclear issue through peaceful means, stressing the importance of diplomatic engagement and sustained dialogue as the only viable path to lasting peace.

Thing is Trump’s respect for Pakistan for better or worse has gone up ever since they showed restraint and chose to not deliver the decisive hit when they had India on the ropes reeling with jets down, bases hit and majority of India’s power grid losing power.

So Trump respects that maturity of showing restraint from a position of strength and the concern of wellbeing Pak has for the region as a whole.

But yes Pak should use this position to help Palestine.

Naqvi chatting rubbish here.

Pak may have related some messages back and forth with the Iranians and Americans but had minimal role in any ceasefire with Iran and Israel.

Iran does seem to respect the Pakistani input but that's about all it was. Some minor support rather than any negotiations on their behalf.

I dont understand .pak never recognises Israel but how they do they negotiate?.

Agree.

Pakistan could've crippled India.

They had 20 Indian jets locked. They only went for 6 jets. :inti

Munir went there, and that is a reality, but is Pakistan that big of a stakeholder, or should I say, the army is that big of a stakeholder that they mediated a ceasefire... LOL

Naqvi sahab is doing next level stuff..IYKYK

Insane negotiation tactics by the boots.
If only the political parties too learn these skills, there won't be a begging bowl in Pak hands anymore.

Also all should get a taste of the "Kingmaker Stuff" used by Naqvi saab here...
:inti

Lol but I heard they were 7,

On topic, I think naqvi and administration doesn't have this capacity they can play the role of messenger. Atleast, better than India who were supporting Israel behind the scene.

If Pak govt is this much influential then why not they call for ceasefire in Gaza too....their silence is also of criminal negligence

Iran is closer to home buddy. Pakistan has wisely let the Saudis take the lead in preparing the middle east for subsuming israel's Jewish population back into the Arab fold as a minority over the coming couple of decades.

But this will come to haunt Saudis and Pak too...They can't trust the backstabbers

Three journalists, vloggers i.e. Haider Mehdi, Moeed Pirzada and another one with ties to the army are stating that Trump did indeed talk to Asim Munir about IK and PTI and that he is facing severe pressure from the US Congress, his own administration and from the Pakistani American Diaspora for intervening and putting pressure on the generals to improve democracy and to release all political prisoners in Pakistan.

Munir in return told Trump IK is the biggest threat to Pak US relations and the region and the Pak Army, existing PDM government will offer the US anything it needs for its support. Trump pounced on Munir's desperation and demanded that Pakistan becomes part of the Abraham accords and becomes the next high profile Muslim country to recognize Israel. Munir responded get Saudia Arabia on board and the moment Saudia Arabia does so, it will become easy for Pakistan to follow suite. Trump responded that if i get Saudia Arabia to recognize Israel then i wont really need Pakistan, heck i can even convince Imran to agree to establish diplomatic relations with Israel then, what do i need you guys for then.

It was pretty clear the whole tweet game by Richard Grennell, Zalmay Khalilzad, Joe Wilson and the Pakistan Democracy Act was used as a bargaining chip over Pindi.

And that failed chairman in company with another fraud head was trying to take credit for the Iran ceasefire...Typical buffoonery
