A day after India's spectacular win against Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025, when the Pakistani fans hardly got a chance to get over their loss, a recent video from the February 22 Australia vs. England match that took place in Lahore has gone viral.

In the viral video, a cricket fan waving the Indian flag in the stands of the stadium was quickly removed by security team. The incident captured on video is widely circulated across social media platforms, which shows Pakistani officials dragging the individual away and snatching the flag from his hands.

Was he an Indian? If it was a Pakistani wearing Indian uniform and a flag in Pakistan, then while I don’t endorse full scale violence, he definetely deserves a couple of lapedas. I would say the same if some Indian pulled such a stunt in India too.

Having said that from what I understand Pak mobs can be way more rabid like they did with that SL manager or that lady who was rumored to be wearing blasphemous clothes so hope he is safe.

He must have been misbehaving i guess? Any evidence.

Most Pakistanis have a feeling of respect and love for Bharat being the land of their ancestors and their actual motherland. They’re very tolerant of Bharat jerseys and flags in their country.

It’s different in Bharat. Most Bharatiyas consider creation of Pakistan a crime and a disaster and wish for reunification some day soon.

Their country their rules.

As long as it is within the jurisdiction of local authority, I don't see much issue.
Agreed. This is not our concerns if that fan is not from india.

but if same situation happened in india than Pakistan fans like @Major are first one to crying about it.

They would have wrote paragraph After paragraph about discrimination , hindutva etc.

:kp

This is fake news.

I have gone to stadiums in Pakistan, and you cross 10 checking points. So obviously his flag was spotted at every check point, so carrying the flag was not an issue.

He must have done something which caused this

No one is pointing any fingers though. If any country can't tolerate a flag then it's the same principles of their country, their rules.

Who said Pakistan has an issue with the flag? No one knows the full story behind this. The flag was allowed in.

Do you choose to ignore reality when someone doesn’t post a comment that aligns with your preconceived biases?

Why are you trying so hard?

I get that it’s difficult to accept facts when you’ve been conditioned by a narrative that reinforces years of hatred.

Keep trying, because right now, you just seem frustrated, pushing a narrative that no longer holds up.

Your desperation to justify the hatred faced by Indian Muslims or supporters of Pakistan is evident. You're hoping that people from another country would behave similarly, allowing you to validate the resentment instilled in you by your upbringing and environment.

This is Pakistan, while there may be a few who resort to violence over blasphemy, waving an Indian flag is not one of those triggers.

Keep trying. Perhaps one day, when there are no Muslims left in India and you have an absolute majority, you will be able to act on your hatred without opposition, as there will be no one left to push back.

It doesn't seem related to the flag. He probably did something. I can see there is another person with the Indian flag a few rows behind him.

This type of petty and obnoxious incident generally only happens in India. :inti

None of our business. Their country, they can do what they please.

I am not frustrated. Are you projecting your own negativity on others though?

Coming to topic, he has not represented any reality. So when there isn't an alternative choice, how can I ignore that even if I want to?

You should read and comprehend post before replying. It seems like your own frustration is misleading you and catching up.

A total non issue. Isolated law and order incident. Let officials hand it. 1 guy out of 30,000 spectators and he is highlighted. What about the remaining 29,999 spectators who were happily watching the game ? ( Or maybe they were sad if it was a Pak game, sorry couldnt resist the dig ! ;)) . Nobody mentions them because its not masala news.

Must have done something stupid.

There have been others with flags and Indian uniforms throughout the Champions Trophy.

Pakistan crowds have not been "rabid" for decades now. I think the last real incident I can remember was when someone threw a brick at a Windies player, can't remember if it was a test match. Or there was the time when Qadir dived into the crowd to punch a spectator, but that might have been in the West Indies. Pak players and crowds just don't have that kind of jazba for cricket these days. You would more likely see rabid mob behaviour in India.

Bizarre and pathetic.

" Oh look we is have pride remain" after getting bent over administratively and on the pitch

What?

Alternative choice? are you Trump spokesperson?

They can remove and confiscate whoever and whatever they want. They have laws and anyone breaks it, will be punished.

WRONG!, its everyones right to call it out. The Pakistani posters have called it out but why shouldn’t others query it.

You have a point to make or just arguing just for the sake of arguing?

Arguing? I’m not arguing.

Already made my point in my initial post.

You replied with “alternative” something so I replied back with similar wording.

Fake news, AI generated video propaganda, World knows Pakistanis have the biggest Hearts :afridi

it is undeniable. Pakistanis can't play cricket like the old days because their hearts have grown so big they let everyone else walk all over them instead of getting in their faces and winning like they used to. :ik
