[VIDEO] Indian Muslims on being called Pakistanis

That was Shoaib Malik. Ironically, Irfan Pathan was the MOM in the match. That's the mental maturity of a player who once captained Pakistan.

Coming to terms with the fact that in India, Hindus and Muslims (and Christians, Sikhs and Jains) get along just fine in their everyday lives is one of the hardest things for Pakistanis to do. I have tried to explain this to Pakistanis in real life many times, but they just don't get it.

Mohd Kaif once said in an interview that in his playing career, the Pakistani players sledged him, Zaheer, Pathan brothers the most (much more than other Hindu players) because they couldn't come to terms with the fact that Muslims players were playing for the "kaffirs"

Pathetic mindset to say the least.

Do you have a link to these comments by Kaif?

Lol nobody knew about yusuf pathan until after the 2010s, you're clearly making this up.

Irfan Pathan played in 2004 series. Just look up Cricinfo, it's not that hard.

You and Khan won't like what Kaif said about Pakistan. But that's not the point, and doesn't really matter.

Moreover, it's not clear what exactly you're trying to get at. It's well known that Pakistani cricketers try to make everything re. India about Hindu vs. Muslim. There are several instances:
- Mushtaq Mohammed tried to make the 1978 series (first time Ind-Pak played after India dismembered Pakistan in 1971) about Hindus vs. Muslims
- Shoaib Malik incident someone referred to earlier after Pak lost in 2007 T20I WC final. He "apologised" to all Muslims in the world for losing a game of cricket. What an idiot!
- Then there was this left-arm Pakistani bowler who took highest number of wickets in IPL1 (forgetting his name now). When Pakistani players were not picked for IPL 2, he made a thoroughly jaahil statements about "Hindus in India". Another idiot.
- What Kaif said about Pakistani players sledging Indian Muslim players ...

There is a pattern here. You can choose to ignore it. Which would perfectly consistent with how the Pakistanis (wrongly) perceive Hindu-Muslim relationship in India

lol. well known?

You have given 4 examples. You can't prove the Kaif one and even if there is evidence Kaif said this, why should we take his word?

I remember the Malik quote but he didn't mention Hindu's.

What did Sohail Tanvir and Mushtaq Mohammed actually say? Do you have a link to these quote(s)?

The only pattern seems to be in your mind. :kp

Sad. Were they called Pakistanis when congress was in power or this only started after BJP fanatics got elected?

Sohail Tanvir (yes, that was the name of the idiot): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuBlH...layer_embedded

"hinduon ke jehniyaat hi aisi hai, dikha di ab kya kar sakte hai". Was a big thread about it here on PP. Look it up and feel proud of your fellow Pakistani.

I never said Shoiab said anything about Hindus. I was criticizing him for pretending to speak for Muslims all over the world, when the team he just lost to represents a country that has more Muslims (and happier / more succcessful Muslims!!) than Pakistan.

I'll let you google Kaif's and Mushtaq's statement. But the pattern is pretty clear!

The link says the video is unavailable. :butt

If Malik didn't mention Hindu's how does this fit into your pattern?

I dont have time to look for something which probably doesn't exist. You wrote 'its well known' and there is a 'pattern' but you are struggling to show anything of substance. Never mind, nice try though. :jimmy

Oh, the "youtube is not loading" defense. That's perfect. You couldn't watch it on youtube, so it didn't happen.

It's hard to look at videos when the head is buried deep inside the sand. I was going to use another expression, but mods probably won't like it :)

That's fine. If the facts don't agree with you, you can always look in another direction.

The link you posted really doesn't work... :srt

Try clicking it.

Every time I see English August has posted I feel like composing a poem.

I felt the summer breeze,
on an August night so still,
enchanted by the sea,
'twas feeling slightly chill.

...etc

Ok, it's well known and the pattern is clear. :viru

Pakistan and India have roughly the same muslim populatiins in fact Pakistan might now have more. Hapiness is not something you can quantify however Pakistanis rank better than indians world happiness indexes and Pakistanis also have higher per capita incomes than Indian Muslim who are thr poorest religious group in India.

You guys are trying really hard to pretend that Sohail didn't say it. Unfortunately you can't un-do what's already happened.

Here's the full PP thread on it: http://www.pakpassion.net/ppforum/showthread.php?90099-Sohail-Tanveer-Comments-on-Hindu-Mentality

For video, go to youtube.com and put "sohail tanvir hindu" in the search box. Check the first 3 videos.

You're welcome.

Ok as many posters have wrote, he probably meant Hindustani's.

But yes the pattern is clear and well known now. Let us know when you find other links to this is pattern of yours.

Oh, I do appreciate the thought! And if I could get some of you to get poetic, I think it's time well spent.
If you're wondering why "English August", here's the scoop:

https://www.amazon.com/English-Augu...preST=_SY291_BO1,204,203,200_QL40_&dpSrc=srch

(Though there is a chance that all you Pakistani posters will pretend that you couldn't click on the link, and therefore the book does not exist :) )

"Probably meant Hindustanis"? Nice to see all you Pakistanis becoming mind readers all of a sudden after demanding youtube video for everything that's ever asserted. :)

As for the rest, you're welcome to go back to your sand. Some other time perhaps when i have more time to kill. (Malik video is easy to find though, but don't look too hard. It will bring back memories of that terrible loss. :) )

I appreciate your efforts and even without Tanvir, the pattern is very clear and well known. Lets hope the PCB investigates now. :)

What's there for PCB to investigate? Cricketers are a microcosm of the society they come from. Why blame the cricketers? Sohail Tanvir, Shoaib Malik, Mushtaq Mohammed and the narrow mindset they represent speaks for the whole of Pakistan. Similarly the Indian cricket team, picked from Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Jains, etc., speaks for the whole of India.

Sohail tanvir made anti hindu comments. He earned his bread and butter from india and this is what is said at last about hindus

f yku want to read anti hindu comments from basit ali, aamir sohail ,javed miadad and almost its pretty normal out therr in pakistam where almost every other anchor or films stars or amyone abuses hindus on national tv. We understand its part of your culture. We dnt open threads doesnt mean we dnt knkw anything. If you need some more links from your celebrities i will give it.
I am not including politicians as politicians in india also make same comments some times for politics. But i dnt expect this from actors, sportsperson or news anchors

Allways wondered if Sania Mirza cringed when she heard that statement from Mallik 😋 probably something to the effect of “what an idiot “

No. It was in one of those TV interviews done either after the 2003 WC or 2004 tour to Pak by India.

Yusuf pathan and Irfan pathan hadnt even played by 2003 WC but magically Pakistan players were abusing them already

Were they doing this over MSN Messenger or Orkut at the time? :))

This is fine as Pakistan doesn't claim to be a secular country, you get what the can says. But it is India who claim to be secular but otherwise is just like Pakistan, and this is the hypocrisy everyone wants to point out.

So what do you propose India do, rechange its constitution and not be a secular country ? Whats after that, maybe a mass style execution of its minorities similar to what Burma is doing ?

A perfect utopia doesn't exist anywhere, though you can allways claim there is a paradise or certain country somewhere, where youre accepted regardless of your color, religion, sex, socio economic status etc etc Highly unlikely. America which proclaims to be the champion and protector of people can barely go a day without random school shootings.

For what its worth India and its people (atleast the majority) try to make it work. Is it perfect ? A big NO. Is it doing what Burma is currently doing with their minority ? Again No. But if it wasn't working India would have broken up decades ago. So i would like to think its working and it takes a lot of effort, tolerance, look the other way, compromise etc etc How else can you explain country with more than 20 something languages and over 9-10 religions all living under one roof. If you have an answer for that, let me know without stating the obvious, that the majority whether they are hindus, minorities, etc or not are quite happy with their lives and do not feel threatened in any sort of way.
