To lose a match isn't that bad but to find lame excuses to cover up your failures is certainly a bad habit. Virat Kohli became a laughing stock for the same shenanigans during BGT 2024-25 and hence had to take an early retirement. But it is equally disappointing to see PCB Chairman and his administration blowing a no-hand shake incident out of proportion just to hide their failure. Lodging complain against the match referee and asking ICC to take disciplinary action is justified but to make it the focal point of whole discourse just to brush under the carpet, the dismal batting display by PCB is no different to what Virat Kohli did to Sam Konstas or what sand paper shenanigans he did in the 5th Test against Australia.
In the same way, just like Kohli, Mohsin Naqvi made all this saga about "spirit of cricket" instead of answering why Pakistan batters failed, why palying spin is still their weakest point, why Usman Wahla had to be suspended? Mr Naqvi stop doing the red herring
So should PCT focus on improving themselves or is this issue that big to overlook the team's failure?
