While Russia condemned the attacks and called for restraint, it has been strengthening military ties with Iran amidst the ongoing regional tensions. It's possible. Putin knows for America it's all about Israel.

Forcing them to enter the theatre in the ME or even just to keep shelling out money to defend Israel helps out massively on the Ukrainian front.

While NATO still views them as the same thing the rest of the world has moved on.

"Russia" is now seen as the embodiment of Christian traditionalism rather than godless commies by most of the countries in Asia and Africa.

But yeah it's a weird world. The same God fearing soldiers in Afghanistan according to the Americans 30 years ago are now tyrannical extremists too.

The Afghan change happened within 12 years from 1989-2001 lol but considering how NATO and Pakistani Establishment still share deep relationship that change hasn’t really happened..
 
Putin is struggling with the war in Ukraine but he will support Iran in the Israeli attacks- some comedy gold here!

He messed up his country's economy for years to come. What a waste. And the USA has to be blamed here as well- there is no way they should have let the war begin at all in the 1st place. They should have gotten Putin and Ukraine to the negotiations table before war evn started. Strategic international diplomacy failure.

Humiliation for Putin as 'Israel devastates Russian airbase in Syria' with missile attack​


Thirty missiles are reported to have hit the Khmeimim airbase in the early hours of Thursday morning. The IDF has not claimed responsibility for the attack.

The strike lasted 45 minutes and is believed to have been carried out by naval warships. Unverified video images show a huge fireball and flashes on the horizon.

Detonations could be heard for hours following the attack, according to eyewitnesses.

Following the alleged Israeli bombardment, a Russian air patrol was observed over Latakia skies.

Russia has urged its citizens to leave Israel immediately, following the escalating military tensions with both Hezbollah and Iran

Yesterday, Anatoly Viktorov, Moscow’s ambassador to Tel Aviv, recommended that Russian nationals depart Israel without delay.

In remarks to the Russian news agency TASS, Viktorov highlighted the worsening situation in the region and reiterated his advice against travelling to Israel. He noted that some airlines are still operating scheduled flights and encouraged Russian citizens to take advantage of this opportunity.

“We advise our citizens currently in Israel to seriously consider leaving the area,” Viktorov added.

Simple minded fools who think Iran/Russia/China are the good guys.

Either groups of US/UK/CAN/AUS and Iran/Russia/China have very similar counts of causing muslim deaths.

Pakistan/Turkey/GCC have slotted in third place for inducing muslim fatalities. Enough said.

Putin isn't Muslim though.

There is only one Muslim leader worth his salt and that is Ali Khamenei.
 

Russia Warns of Explosive Middle East Escalation After Israel Strikes Iran​


In Tehran, the sound of blasts could be heard, with state-run media there earlier admitting at least six explosions were heard around the city and adding some of the sounds came from air defence systems around Tehran.

A Tehran inhabitant told The AP that around 7 blasts could be heard, which rattled the surrounding area. Iran’s official TV later stated that operations at the city’s airports were “normal.”

Israel’s attacks on Iran did not include striking Iranian nuclear facilities, oil fields, and focused on military targets, ABC News and NBC News reported, quoting an Israeli official.

Meanwhile, in Washington, White House National Security Council spokesperson Sean Savett stated that the “targeted attacks on military targets” are “an exercise of self-defence and in reply to Iran’s ballistic missile strike against Israel on October 1.”

AFP cited a US defence official as saying that the US was “informed beforehand and there is no role of the US in it.

Tehran has launched two ballistic missile strikes on Israel in recent months. Israel also has also launched a ground offensive on Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Syrian official media stated that Israeli air strikes targeted some military areas in central and southern Syria.

The United States has urged Iran to halt attacking Israel to pause the cycle of violence following Israel launched attacks against Iran in retaliation for a missile bombardment.

US National Security Council spokesperson Sean Savett told reporters that they urged Iran to cease its strikes on Israel so that this cycle of fighting can finish without further escalation.

According to Western media, the Israeli army carried out air strikes against Iran on Saturday, striking military bases as well as missile sites, and other systems in several areas. He said, “Their reply was an exercise in self-defence and exactly avoided populated regions and focused exclusively on military targets,”.

He said that Washington did not participate in the operation, adding, “It is our aim to accelerate diplomacy and de-escalate tensions in the region.”
