For the life of me cannot understand how you can be bowled like this?

<div style="width: 100%; height: 0px; position: relative; padding-bottom: 50%;"><iframe src="https://streamable.com/e/uvoc8n" frameborder="0" width="100%" height="100%" allowfullscreen style="width: 100%; height: 100%; position: absolute;"></iframe></div>

Awkward to watch this.

I remember thinking at the time, what on earth was Ijaz doing.

I remember watching this.

Typical english commentator, ‘oo what a delivery’!!!

That was a straight ball on leg stump and should have been flicked for 4.

If you only followed this match on the radio, the commentator would lead you to believe that Cork bowled Ball of the Century.

To me it looks like his bat got stuck in his pad and he got disbalanced

Makes me wonder what a batsman with a dodgy technique such as this is doing at no.3. Was he promoted as a night watchman? I am sure Pak had better batsmen the likes of Inzi, Malik, etc to take that position.

No. 3 should be the batsman with the best technique and who could blend caution with aggression.

I don’t want to get into what accusations are on Ijaz Ahmed but I will give him the benefit of doubt here. He might have had decent numbers but doesn’t take away from the fact that he was one of the most ugliest batsmen (aesthetically speaking) ever to play the game.

I am not comparing him to Smith who is leagues ahead obviously but I have seen Smith look very awkward in some of his dismissals as well.

Ijaz Ahmed hitting 6’s for fun against Trundlers like Kuruvilla and co was one of the most shocking matches I have ever seen. That came out of no where and don’t think he was ever able to replicate it himself ever again.

I am going to give him benefit of the doubt here as a lapse in concentration.

He averaged around 45 at #3 in Test cricket and that includes a fairly solid record in Australia and England.

Steve Smith and Chanderpaul?

Looks like went to far across and locked himself in an awkward position, but indeed a very weird dismissal!

Ejaz Ahmed walked so far across the stump, What was he trying to do ?

Equivalent of Mohd Amir's No-Ball with a Yard long over step...

When you fail to press the “shot” button on a cricket game.

There were a few awkward run outs around that time too involving Pakistan.

Very strange indeed.

Looks ugly, but on slow mo it appears that his bat just got caught in his pad, and with Ijaz's awkward technique it's not out of the realms of possibility.

I saw that match live and I don't think there was any fixing. He was just new to the crease and lost his balance badly.
