[VIDEO] Mohammad Amir Khan - Performance Watch in the Pakistan Super League

Came back well after that big 6 by Roy.

Unusual action, but looks ok, seems to know what he's doing.

Skiddy, hurries on to the batsmen.

Quicker than what the batsman expects.

Pace is definitely up from the match vs India in the Under-19 World Cup. Wasn't fit then after all.

135.7, 136.6, 137.5 and 138 in 2nd over.

He is too short to be a fast bowler at the international level. I hope he proves me wrong though.

Very impressed with 18 year-old Amir Khan. 4 overs 1 for 24. Bowled intelligently on PSL debut, varied his pace, yorkers, cutters, bouncers against a strong and experienced batting line-up that included Jason Roy, Shane Watson and Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Impressive debut. Showed good temprament and variations. His action is a bit like Gough.

Definitely was injured in U19WC. Was bowling 5 kph slower

So 7-9 kph isnt much. If its so easy to increase this much in a month wonder why Grandhomme, Stoinis etc dont become high 130s and 140 kph bowlers.

Ofcourse he wasn’t sure 100% as few of his deliveries werent even 130s in the U19 WC semi.

Really pathetic on part of Ijaz-Ahmed to play an unfit bowler repeatedly in the tournament

Loved the way he just took it in his stride when Roy hit him for a big 6 and came back at him and the QG batsmen. He didn't get rattled or lose his shape and instead came back stronger.

Definitely like the look of his bowling.

The lad bowls a hard ball, and because of that he will have a good chance to develop. He can bowl those sharp off cutters( as we saw in the U19 WC by taking the ball away from the left handers) and in T20 cricket they can be used to great affect.

Anybody notice his head position at point of release.... surely something is not right. Even an untrained cricket illiterate like me can see it. How did this lad make it all the way to the highest level of Pakistan cricket without someone correcting it.

His run-up his pretty much non-existent and his speed really is through a quick arm. He is very raw, but he's got potential.

He's something to work with though and could get better.

He started bowling with hard ball around 6 months I believe. But you are right about the assessment.
