This guy is getting more arrogant each day, even after Sri Lankan thrashing. Time for SA to bring him back to earth.

Statement that Pakistan was not the biggest game of his career, trying to belittle Pakistan team. Knowing fully well that he will be target of stones if he loses to Pakistan.

one the reasons why Pakisan loses consistently to India (other than having mediocre seniors like malik and hafeez) is that their players psych themselves in to a lather about how the Pak-Ind match is the biggest of their career.
Any captain whose team slaps around Pakistan the way they were in the first match will not logically call that match the biggest of his career.

Big test for Kohli's captaincy tomorrow, hope he realizes that we need to score above par totals

Just because the Pakistanis think that playing (and losing!) against India is their biggest thing doesn't mean the Indians have to think along similar lines.

Kohli has the right attitude. India will lose some, like we did against SL, but that's fine.

While I admire his confidence about loving this kind of test but SA won't be easy and if it's a flat pitch then proteas can easily outbat us. Imperative of us to bat first if it's a flat pitch given we win the toss. Ashwin should definitely play and so should shami, Jadhav should come ahead of dhoni as he is only one who can bat at strike rate of 100.

he is right.

dont know why posters here what him to say that we are the biggest opponent for them

I have seen many of the posters here saying pakistan is a minnow team and crying on June 4th. How come they aren't a minnow now??

perhaps its the fear that their beloved team is slowly but surely being consigned to the fate where
most Indian cricketers don't take them that seriously anymore ... its the ultimate insult .

It's 'the biggest match of their career' only for Pak players. A professional unit like India goes about their usual business while we are too busy flogging a dead horse

To be fair to him he speaks very well at press conferences. He's very confident and clear in what he wants to say.

Only criticism is that he is too trained in his answers.

I asked him about whether he thinks India should be playing Pakistan in cricket given that his Government etc are not allowing it. He sort of side-stepped the question and gave an answer along the lines of he enjoys playing against Pakistan etc.

Stop being so damn emotional. It is a bloody group game. It probably won't even matter in the grand scheme of things. India might get knocked out and Pakistan might win the trophy despite India thrashing Pakistan.

Such a poor speaker this fellow is reading off a script. I have always found his so called "aggression" a facade and that was exposed in the game against SA where he was not only defensive but also wilted under slightest of pressure. He's an overrated batsman anyways thriving on flat phattas. Can't wait for SA to thrash this rubbish Indian team into oblivion, Inshallah.

Virat Kholi is horribly overrated as a captain. He is unimaginative and immature to be a captain. He should not even be vice-captain. He's like the Pakistani Akhtar in terms of thinking. All substance, no coherent analysis.
