Mohammad Kaif questions Pat Cummins generous withdrawl of field obstruction appeal against Jadeja today in SRH's match against CSK?

"Two questions to Pat Cummins on withdrawing the obstructing the field appeal against Jadeja. Was it a tactical call to let a struggling Jadeja be the crease and keep Dhoni indoors? Would he have done the same if it was Virat Kohli at World T20?"

So do you guys agree with Kaif here or is he being ungrateful to Cummins here

Can’t say he was obstructing the field. He did not deliberately come to block the ball from hitting the stumps. He turned back to go to the crease in a straight line.

Can someone describe what happened? I have a personal rule that I try to avoid watching IPL, so I don't want to click the video. I already broke it by watching the hype around the fast bowler and twice in one week is too much.

Yea you can interpret this both ways and justify it. Probably would not have been given out. But withdrawing is probably tactical

Tactical move by Cummins, the longer Jadeja stayed at the wicket the better it turned out for Cummins and his team..

Don’t worry, your clicking on a recording will not count towards viewership numbers for IPL.

Pretty normal thing. Pat Cummins knew that he is going to win the game if he Jadeja stays out there so he played a master move and it worked.

So will we see this in international cricket as well? Tactical moves?

It was simply a matter of the spirit of the game, nothing more. English and Australian players actually practice the spirit of the game, they are not like Indians who always prefer rules over the spirit of the game.
Not sure you are being sarcastic or not. English and Aussies use the spirit of game as a tactical tool when it suits them and preach us desis from the land of elephants and snake charmers.

Indians won’t understand what is spirit if cricket. Cheap shots mei number 1!

Cummins putting Indians to shame and getting paid millions while doing it. Good stuff!

Doesn't look like an obstruction. The batter was just trying to protect himself from a vicious throw

Indians like the spirit of cricket say unlike amir, asif Or butt. Our padosis know all about cricketing spirit.

And what's this repeated obsession with how much IPL players earn

They probably exist for decades. But may not be so obvious. Also with match fixing angle even legit tactical move can be viewed as fixing.
Why is it not viewed the same i(suspiciously) n franchise cricket?

I have to say, in this IPL, dismissing certain players early proved to be costly for some fielding teams It brought in the better hitter to the crease.
