Was watching his press conference and he made the announcement right at the end. I wonder whether this was appreciation for the wickets they prepared or whether they get paid very poorly?

Regardless of the reason, it takes a big heart to do something like this. For all the cricketing sticks this fella gets, surely has a big heart.

No need to announce it like this in a presser.

Bad taste. But a good thing to do.

Nothing wrong in announcing. It will motivate others to do the same. We should not judge others as dilon ka haal and intention sirf Allah jaanta hai. May be his intention was good before announcing.

And inside story is Sarfraz has been a long contributor in donations and even donated some of his Champions Trophy rewards but it never came out in media. May be here he just announced it as an appreciation towards the ground staff.

I dont rememebr if it was Jhonty Rhodes or some other commentator/presenter who said that the ground staff are here from 7 in the morning to 4 AM in the next morning.

Surely the deserve all the appreciation.

It was Jhonty Rhodes while doing the pitch report..

Good gesture from Sarf, the groundsmen have worked really hard to have 8 matches in a short timespan

Well done, may Allah SWT give him multiple times more.

Sarfaraz Ahmed donated Rs 10,000 to each groundsman

A very nice gesture from Sarfraz, well done to him. Groundsmen and other guys working behind the scene often get ignored.

As much as I don't like sarfraz as a player/captain, he always donates money. Excellent from him.

Not a Sarfra fan as I believe he is not good enough to lead our team, but this is an awesome gesture that I cannot ignore!

Well-deserved.

The pitches were really good in Karachi, much better than the ones in UAE.

KARACHI: Pakistan cricket captain Sarfaraz Ahmed insisted that strengthening the youth will strengthen Pakistan. “If we want to progress as a nation then we must strengthen our youth. The educated youth are the future of Pakistan and they will make us proud in the future too,” he said at a seminar ‘Healthy youth: strong nation’ at the University of Karachi on Monday.

The seminar was organised by KU’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, in connection with Pakistan Day, where the skipper said that teachers play a crucial role in building a society. Teachers should impart quality education to the students and they should also enable them to cope with future challenges. The students must not forget their teachers after succeeding in life.

Singer and social worker Shehzad Roy said that he was happy to witness an environment at KU where people were free to express their opinion. He mentioned that such positive activities bring stability to a society.

KU Vice Chancellor Professor Mohammad Ajmal Khan said that society cannot become the paradigm of welfare and progress without an ideological revolution. He claimed that there was no shortage of skills in our young generation. He advised that the need of the hour was for the youth to become more tolerant.
