Best catch I've seen by a Pakistani in the outfield, in a long time

Good catche from other team's perspective... Best catch from Pakistan's perspective.

One of the best ever.
Running backwards, to keep looking behind over the shoulder, and catching it when it went passed you and to avoid contact with rope.

Haven't seen combination of these dynamics before. One for folklores.

Reminded me of Shahid Afridi's at The Oval against New Zealand but I reckon Wahab's was even better as it needed a full length dive to grab the ball.

if bishoo is on strike at end of 80th id give wahab one more over. 4 balls with old and 2 with new

These sort of catches look easier than one taken at point or gully but let me tell you, they are extremely difficult to pull off. You have to run at exactly the right speed, judge where the ball is going to land and also stay on your feet while looking overhead to keep your eyes on the ball. Not to mention the actual dive and catch that needs to be pulled off.

Terrific from Riaz.

Anyone who's played cricket at any decent competitive level will testify to the simple fact that running backwards and taking any catch over ones shoulder is one of the most difficult feats to pull off while fielding.....

And to pull it off with a dive and a two hander just sums up how near perfect he judged that :14: Bravo Wahab !!

Totally stunning! I would say that the wicket falling the very next ball was also due to the WI batsman losing a bit of his concentration due to this catch.

Thats exactly what came to my mind - and yes I agree it was better than that catch!

Yeah haters, talk nah :wahab

Outstanding.

Despite this catch - he still has to go.

His bowling is wayward and goes for plenty of runs without any control over his line and length.

Thanks but no thanks.

One of the best catches ever - long back, I can recall Kallis taking one such in UAE, probably

Nazir, ct. Kallis, B Heyward/Pollock.

Wahab has always been a good fielder, one of the more underlooked aspects of his cricket.. this wicket helped Pakistan break a big partnership, it also helped Shah get another wicket by inducing a mistake...

The fact that he stopped in time before the boundary and ensured he didn't go over the line makes it even better!
