Sharply spinning legbreak and Conway gets forward to defend, the ball is close to both bat and pad at the same time, the third ump sees a replay and reckons there is an inside-edge, Babar and Co. are not pleased with that call

Loud shout for LBW - not given and Pakistan review. Is there an inside-edge? The third ump

Yes he was. He was let down by the keeper who dropped his catch

Missing leg stump in my opinion.

Sorry posted in the wrong thread. The above comment of mine was meant for the Match Thread and another LBW shout (first one against Latham).

Coming back to the OP, I think the title is a clickabait sort of stuff. For starters, it wasn't given out on field. Then it didn't look too adjacent, at best was umpire's call on impact. In the end, third umpire deemed that ball hit the bat and the pad at the same instance and the on-field decision was already not out so it stayed with original decision.

One thing I would like to improve in these decisions is asking on-field umpires about all the aspects of his decision-making and then making a decision upstairs based on what the on field umpire told to the 3rd umpire.

He should communicate why it was given not-out: impact/pitched outside/missing the stumps, edge or bat first and then going by all this info, there would be more clarity for TV umpire and transparency to the whole process of 'umpire's call' and on-field judgement taking precedence over unclear technological evidence.

This changed the game no proper replay shown how did the bails come off did Rizwan drop the catch as rana is so adamant on putting it on him since the whole game. The ball clearly hit the pad only as its behind the bat this umpire ticked me off the whole game not raising his finger even once on three plump lbw calls one finally had to overturn for him to get his head working again or he wouldn’t have given bracewell out either
