PSL looks dull this time. Either they are using a pink ball or it seems like it has turned light pink after hitting the pads or using colored towels. The ground lights don’t look bright and the kits look more like a newspaper.

Don’t you think guys this is the worst PSL in terms of standards that we have seen so far?

The quality of cricket is also apalling, TTFs will have their route as they won't be tested , let's hope the upcoming games are competitive, in previous seasons some of the flaws were masked by passionate crowd , but this it seems everything will be stark naked

The TTFs are good against lower ranked teams and B teams in bilaterals but become ordinary against the best teams in tournaments at international level.

Quality is just like our pathetic team performance recently

Told you it will be worst season of PSL

I thought New Balance was doing their kit lol

Embarrassing stuff

I actually thought they were playing with a pink-ball initially

I put my reputation on the line to stick up for PSL and say it’s one of the best and this and that.

Instead I get repaid with dead crowd, cricket ball changing colors, poorly made t20 sides and only elite families can attend.

We can probably organize a better t20 tournament at the masjid cricket ground over the next 30 days. Prob bigger crowds too.

Golden rule of negativity. When you consistently preach and scream it, it just follows you everywhere. Pakistani fans want the best T-20 league in the world without wanting to put any work for it i.e. passionately supporting the league through downs and challenges.

When you use a fake crowd noise have some variation lol It is almost crowd noise belongs to some other match or some artificial noise. Then color ball . Ball barely bounces. Good batting track doesn't mean it cannot bounce.

Wow!!! So multi million dollar PSL franchises can’t afford to have proper quality control on their jerseys??? This must be so embarrassing for the franchise, the PSL, and the PCB! A foreign captain raising it in a press conference, the commentators bewildered and shocked on camera, and fans viewing all this on TV! At least wash your bloody clothes once before to check, and this is on whichever company got the kit contract - they let the franchise down big time.

This is like buying a shirt in cheap exhibition.

It was their first ever game so I think we should give them at least one chance on this. Surely they will sort out this thing before their next game.

Excuse my initial outburst. It’s just frustrating to continue giving someone or something the benefit of the doubt and expecting them to deliver and they keep disappointing you.

I still believe in the PSL. PSL still walks. It’s just a rusty start that’s all 👍

Kamran Akmal gave his opinion in a funny way while talking on YouTube. This is what he said.

"I genuinely thought Hyderabad Kingsmen got their kits dyed at some dupatta lane back home, the kind where they recolor white clothes for bargain rates."

Na karein 22 jaan na karein ...

It's probably the worst jerseys and apparel ever in history of world cricket ever provided to any players . I mean seriously what were they thinking ? Competing with kangladeshis ???

What kind of message does it send to world cricket ? No money to make good quality clothes only ??

White balls being used in PSL were turning red, the color of the jersey of the bowling team. Is it low quality balls or jerseys? Whose fault is it, the only sport Pakistan is decent at and this is how it is being treated by the organizers.

Always finding new ways to bring disrepute to the nation

Pathetic cricket, pathetic coverage, would be really worrying if our rotten core (Shaheen, Haris Rauf, Babar Azam, Shadab Khan and Mohammad Rizwan) performs, this would re-inforce how poor our youngster are if they cannot stand up to mediocre cricketers who've been brutally exposed in international Cricket...

Watched both games and found them very enjoyable.

Was great to see Steve Smith in the PSL.

The GOAT of modern cricket is playing in the PSL and fans are still moaning.

He does not even play for Australia any more...

PSL is pathetic, and will keep churning out pathetic players year after year.. we need to stop over-hyping it..

Apparently getting trashed in ICC events isn't enough for some fans to understand ground realities...

The kit color thing was just wow. Never seen that in a cricket match before. One game in and this cringe Hyderabad franchise has already dealt a heavy blow to this league's floundering public image.

I mean you can't dream up this kind of bad PR.

Smith is not a very good T20 player. He hasn't been a regular for his national team since 2022 and not played for two years. Let us not get carried away and mix formats. He is a Test legend.

I think PSL peaked few years back in terms of quality and good player participation. No good player wants to be associated with them during their peak. some of the greats even after their peak doesn’t want to be associated. Unless their political situation improves with India they are unlikely to make much progress

You are overthinking it. Most players don't care. They just want to make money. You think players go to India out of the goodness of their heart? No, it's because the IPL is the biggest and most lucrative game in town and nothing even comes close. Most goray players would never visit this region if they had a choice. The reason PSL doesn't attract as much top talent is because they don't pay aswell unless your are one of the top foreign players. On top of that PSL has either been running H2H with the IPL or during the home seasons of Australia, South Africa, New Zealand.

With the league already at atrocious standard , here comes the ball tampering saga , teams will be wary of it now specially against LQ.

It was due to j. Ads on ground not due to kit

If that is actually the case than the organizers of the tournament should be ashamed of themselves at this egregious display of unprofessionalism.

However, based on everything I've read, it has been attributed to Hyderabad's kit.

We set too high standards for PSL and unnecessarily nitpick. The matches have been enjoyable, some local talent has done well, some overseas talent has impressed too.

It ticks the boxes for what a league should deliver. Can it do better, or course? But some of the criticism is snide and OTT.

I am not making direct comparison with IPl but I opened up IPL scorecard and 38 year old Ajinkay Raane is tuk tuking against serial chucker Sunil Narine, while player Indian fans themselves troll as "lord" picked up MOTM. I read headline that 57 year old Dohni is eagerly making comeback after injury. I am not sure how anyone catch watch this, let alone pay millions for the privilege.

You can find a few instances in any league, anywhere.

Sub-standard league with no real local talent available - over-hyped tried and tested failures with inflated egos trying to cement their place in the national team..

And to top it off, no crowds, LQ cheating (ball tampering) and involved in unauthorized meetings (potential match fixing), really really poor TV coverage and the "Pink Ball" controversy..

Another stage for Pakistan cricket to embarrass itself...

Absolutely pathetic management and really poor cricket..

Golden words by Prof. Hafeez "Phir se seeti bajay gee, stage sajay ga aur ishtihari superstars phir aagay aa jain gay, kyun k yeh sirf PSL k liye banay Hain"

I think running alongside the IPL has made fans and observers view everything about the PSL with an inferiority complex where they over highlight the problems short comings which is why i would like the PCB to experiment with a September to November window for the league come the next FTP cycle. I want to see how the league does and which kind of foreign players it attracts when they don't have to worry about being held just before the IPL or during the IPL.

Rahane and Narine are on the same team... :facepalm

People tuned in to watch Rohit and Rickelton bat or Boult and Bumrah bowl. That level of quality is very rarely seen in franchise cricket...or never outside of IPL. Best you get is Parvez Hossain Emon and Abdullah Shafique. 🤡

Total viewership is 60 million, quite enjoyable. Check
Local talent has done well Rohit Paudel 267 runs, Lamichane 17 wickets. Check
overseas talent has impressed too, Adam Rossington, 332 runs. Check

It is an inferior league to IPL.

But no need to nit pick every aspect and make every small molehill a mountain.

If you apply this lens to every league you will find major faults.

Unfortunately Nepal Premier League didn't have one important metric

Indians hurt trolls with clichéd commente - uncheck :(

Who tuned in?

Most of you the Indians were in the PSL match thread.

If they were in the same team seems even more. Hopefully Dhoni will recover before he turns 60.

The way Indian egos get hurt is quite something though. :asif

Awww...I get "owned" in your cute little world?

What else goes on there? Rainbow coloured pigs fly in the skies with angel wings? Rizwan is indeed a "Champ" in T20s?
Rizwan won a domestic t20 championship before Kholi did. My username is still far better than whatever joke of a username yours is.

Yeh man we can't compete with your devotion to pensioners. You guys are the big dogs when it comes to that for sure.

You are actually the pioneers of it. Misbah played in the PSL until he was 45.

And not just that...by picking the likes of Peter Siddle, you lot are also pioneering the art of "devoting" to even overseas pensioners.

What about tulla Dhoni shamelessly hogging a spot still? He looks like a grandfather. Mediocre keeper hyped by Inds who never scored a test century outside Asia lol

He has atleast earnt his stay by winning all 3 ICC titles for India and winning 5 IPL trophies for CSK. He is still a decent captain who can guide Gaikwad/Samson..

All these must be new concepts for Pakistanis who are devoid of any leadership culture in their cricket.

Dhoni Rahane Narine and others are amazing in much higher standard IPL and Moeen and Siddle are washed up in poor PSL according to Indian posters logic. :dhoni
This Dhoni tulla looks 50 years old with a white beard. Hiding like a tailender. Rahane is a joker who cannot even clear the infield on big grounds, malnourished and impotent batsman. Narine is 10 years past his prime. There are several has beens in IPL as well. Rohit himself is 40 years old lol.

Dhoni vs Rizwan in T20I

Dhoni 1617 runs @ 37.60, SR 126, 2 50s
Rizwan 3414 runs @ 47.41, SR 125, 30 50s and 1 hundred

:inti
Still, MSD’s strike rate is better than that tuk-tuk opener, drama actor Rizwan :ROFLMAO:
MSD has won 3 ICC trophies (all white-ball formats), while Rizwan… brrrr :uak
MSD led CSK to 5 titles, Rizwan how many? 1 just 1… brrrr. :uak
MSD retired on his own terms, Rizwan was kicked out from the team… brrrr :uak
