Always fun to see a batter getting dominated by a particular bowler. Especially one of the caliber of Marnus.

As of now, Afridi has got him 5 times in 6 innings.

Shaheen has learned the art of moving the bowling away from right handers as well.

The true test will come in the 2nd innings for Afridi's hold on Marnus

Its impossible to play anyone who bowls at 145 clicks and moves the ball both ways. Not to forget the bounce that Shah can generate from good length.

I have seen wickets falling line nine pins when even Umesh Yadav bowled like that in IPL. The difference is, Umesh can bowl like Shah once every 15 matches. Its the consistency that makes Shah the best bowler in the world at the moment in all formats.

Got him out in County too :vk2

It's nice that Marnus and Shaheen are friends. Otherwise this had all the makings of another Steyn-Hafeez.

and vice versa?

Shaheen Shah Afridi 29 (39) - guess who took his wicket?

Marnus Labuschagne might still be the world’s No.1 Test batter, but he will be breathing a sigh of relief that he does not have to face Shaheen Shah Afridi for the immediate future.

The Pakistan left-armer dismissed the Australian for the fifth time in seven first-class innings on Friday.

Afridi trapped Labuschagne in front on 23 during their County match. It was the second time in the match the Middlesex bowler removed Labuschagne, after earlier bowling him with a ball which proved too tight to leave.

Visibly disappointed, Labuschagne hung his head back and remained at the crease well after the finger was raised.

His dissatisfaction once again raised eyebrows over the Australian’s on-field attitude, where he has been accused of descent on a number of occasions.

He was the second Australian to stare down an umpire on Friday, after David Warner lingered at the crease after edging the ball behind during Delhi’s narrow IPL loss to Rajasthan.

After a prolific season with Glamorgan in 2019 - the season which proved the catalyst for Labuschagne’s international return - the Australian has struggled to get going early in his return to the County club.

He made an unbeaten 50 in the second innings against Nottinghamshire, but started the season with a single digit score (3).

Labuschagne did have something to smile about during his contest with Afridi.

The batting all-rounder, who can bowl seam up and leg-spin, removed the Pakistan star with his wrist-spin as one of two wickets.

But Afridi’s 29 proved invaluable for Middlesex, as the visitors, who are captained by Peter Handscomb (0), managed to scramble their way to 336 after earlier slumping to 6-110.

Glamorgan are 6-104 and still trail by 110 runs, with Australian quick Michael Neser unbeaten on 22.

Brilliant innings today.

Won Australia the match, but he's not in the World Cup squad.

What a handy concussion sub to have eh?

Aggressive cricket is in vogue today, and the Aussie top 4 were all aggressors: Warner, Head, Marsh and Green. It's fun when it works, but they all failed today. This type of pitch was not for the exuberant.

I'm all up for Bazballeque cricket, but I feel that there needs to be at least one slower anchor player in the top 4 to guide an inning's through...but Marnus is so good that he can do it at #8 :ROFLMAO:

Afridi should look to get him out cheaply once again as Labu is extremely short on confidence.

Honestly, they both aren't in the best of forms but I am expecting one of them to be the game changer on Friday.

Considering Shaheen's current lack of form Marnus will turn the tables for sure this time.

Shaheens threat lasts for 2 overs mostly. After that, batters can take him on until he comes back at the death.
Where they can take him on again. He hasn't been special at death. If you stand a bit outside your crease and be ready to attack or defend (no half hearted attempts at either attack /defense) shaneen is no threat to top teams. He will still get wickets, but batsman can dominate him too

In ODIs Labu's wicket is something you don't want to take. Labu, Root, Bavuma there are some wickets you don't want to take in the interest of your team.

Shaheen gets him again!
Labuchagne goes for 4.
If i'm not mistaken, Shaheen and Marnus exchanged a few words. And the Pakistani pacer actually called him a bunny lolll.
