Pakistan captain Shahzaib Rindh slapped India’s skipper Rana Singh ahead of the clash between the two countries in a team event at Karate Combat 45 in Dubai.

The Karate Combat, the world’s premier full-contact karate league, event in Dubai will be hosted by former mixed martial artists Bas Rutten and George St Pierre, YouTuber Mike Majlak and renowned Indian actor Salman Khan.

India and Pakistan will face off in a team event on 20th April 2024.

Short man syndrome at display. Rana Singh appears to be wanted to be aggressive and initiates contact by pushing Shahzaib and suffers a slap in return. Fortunately for Shahzaib, Rana appears to be a few inches short in reach compared to him and could only be dragged off.

Fighting is an ugly business though, won't be surprised if the tables turn in the ring.
 
Pakistan has a track record of losing to India in these wrestling/fighting contests. They're all talk, no walk.
 
Not sure what this event is but judging by the slap & kick , it’s seems village level
 
It wasn't really a slap, looked like the sort of pretend slap you might administer to a child to warn them to toe the line.
 
Pak has defeated India many times in competitions like arm wrestling and and various forms of combat sport. Naturally, the Indian media don't report on this so their people don't know. This Indian trying to act tough got what he deserved.
 
As I say Indian people don't know much about Pak or when we defeat them. This is because the Indian media only reports on their own wins when it comes to combat type sports. This is how India sells it's propaganda to it's people of how they are.
 
This is pretty normal in these kinds of face-offs. Claps and pushing someone away are all part of this game.
Real game will be they face each other in the real fight.

The match rivalry between arch-rivals took an ugly turn as Pakistan Karate team skipper Shahzaib Rindh slapped India’s skipper Rana Singh ahead of the Combat 45 clash tomorrow (Saturday).


The video of the incident went viral on social media wherein Rindh can be seen slapping Rana while on stage during a press conference on Friday.

"How was the slap bro?" Rindh said after the clash on stage.

It must be noted that Rindh created history in February earlier this year after he registered the fastest knockout at Karate Combat 44 in Mexico City. The 25-year-old stunned his opponent, Marco Cubas of Peru, with a knockout in 21 seconds during the first round.

The Karate Combat, the world’s premier full-contact karate league, event in Dubai will be hosted by former mixed martial artists Bas Rutten and George St Pierre, YouTuber Mike Majlak and renowned Indian actor Salman Khan.

The fight night will begin with the Pit Submission series featuring Craig Jones vs Andre Muniz.

The co-main event will include the Bantamweight title fight between Luiz Rocha vs Myrza-Bek Tebuev.

Meanwhile, Luke Rockhold and Joe Schilling go head-to-head in the main event.

Was scrolling through my feed and found this. Interestingly Indian media didn't cover this news. Had the reverse happened they would have played this video clip non stop. Pakistani player also beat him in the match. Never followed this sport before.


Strange thing is our players compete in other sports but andhbhakht's patriotism is at its peak during cricket only. :inti
 
Karate Combat 45: Shahzaib Rindh leads Pakistan to victory against India

In a high-tension battle at the Karate Combat 45, Pakistan captain Shahzaib Rindh won the 3 vs 3 team fight against the Rana Singh-led India in the last-round clash in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), on Saturday.

The battle between age-old rivals was decided in the last round after Pakistan's Rizwan Ali and India's Himanshu Kaushik won the first and second match, respectively.

The event began with Pakistan’s Rizwan Ali taking on India’s Pawan Gupta in the first round. The Pakistani did not have any trouble in taking his opponent down as Gupta was soon lying on the floor after Rizwan knocked him out in the first round.

Pakistan were leading 1-0 before India’s Himanshu Kaushik faced Faizan Khan in the second round. Had Pakistan won that, they would’ve won the match but that didn’t happen as Kaushik managed to overcome Faizan, who came in place of Uloomi Karim after he wasn’t allowed to fight as he missed his weight by five kilos.

As the match became 1-1, it came down to the decisive round where Pakistan’s captain Shahzaib Rindh faced India’s Rana Singh. Rindh’s continuous attacks from the beginning of the match put his opponent in the corner and he ultimately ended up winning the fight with a technical knockout decision.

After the fight, Rindh came into the ring raising both Pakistani and Indian flags as his gesture of peace between the two countries.

"This fight was for peace. We are not enemies, we are together,” Rindh said after the match.

In the process, he also extended his Karate Combat record to 5-0. He also created history in February earlier this year after he registered the fastest knockout at Karate Combat 44 in Mexico City. The 25-year-old stunned his opponent, Marco Cubas of Peru, with a knockout in 21 seconds during the first round.

no need for the slap whatsoever, incredibly disrespectful. I detest these faceoff’s or whatever you want to call em. When human bakras lock horns then off course testosterone will take over. Keep the slaps for the ring and win with honour and humility, let the loser retain his dignity. Nobody want or wishes to be humiliated.

These are mostly scripted WWE style events. They just do these things to create hype around the India vs Pakistan rivalry. Nobody takes them seriously

Remember few years back 1 Pakistani boxer named Amir Khan scheduled a fight with an Indian guy Later it turned out that the Indian guy was a stunts man from Bollywood and not a real pro boxer. And yet that fight was hyped up India vs Pakistan

me. the other dude kicked back to level it. went a little too far i think. But then again, i dont fight so…

Tiger Shroff and Salman Khan like seeing their boys beaten up by us!! It's Pak all the way babe! As for Indian's rejoicing over a Pak carrying an Indian flag i can tell you that often Indian people show the same respect to our one too. This Indian got his lights turned out in 56 seconds :ROFLMAO:

The fights are not theatrical although the promotional events are exaggerated. I remember once Hashim Rehman and Lennox Lewis had a studio brawl to promote the fight it seemed. Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier did the same however the fights are always real.

I’m not sure why he spoke in such fashion as he was totally dominated . One sided beat down
 
After defeating India in a karate combat event in Dubai, Shahzaib met with Indian actor Salman Khan. Salman Khan congratulated Shahzaib on his victory, praising his great footwork and ability to knock out opponents within 20 seconds. Salman Khan also extended his best wishes to Shahzaib.

However, despite his accomplishments in the Karate Combat, he finds himself struggling due to the absence of substantial backing from governmental authorities.

He recently posted a video on X and voiced his concerns highlighting the challenges he faced as an athlete striving to excel without adequate support while reiterating that he had been training since Ramzan.

Shahzaib highlighted the significance of his triumph in the Karate Combat League while pointing out that this victory will open doors and avenues for youngsters in Pakistan who want to excel in the field of Karate.

The 25-year-old emphasized the need for financial assistance, training facilities, and coaching staff to further hone his skills and compete at the global level.

Referred to as ‘The King” which is his in-ring name, the athlete also received praise from Bollywood actor Salman Khan who also graced the Karate Combat event with his presence and congratulated the Karate Combat champion.

Grievances of the athlete shed light on a broader issue within Pakistan’s sporting landscape, where talented athletes often find themselves overlooked and unsupported by the state.

His father echoed similar sentiments, expressing disappointment in the government’s lack of support for athletes and insignificant competitions in the region that can nurture talent at the grassroots level.

Despite the hurdles, Rind remains determined to continue his journey in karate and make his nation proud.
