There are many sindhis who have joined pak army of late.

But that does not mean sindhis aren't looked down upon especially in Karachi. So there is tension which existed since the 70s. It's has reduced significantly though.

All the sindhi haters from mqm have been awfully quiet about the contribution of these two sindhis. They were the ones who were bashing sindh police a few years ago.
So they can't fathom this.

The latest Indian connection to attack is that few years back a baloch commander had visited india for medical treatment.
India provides visas for Pakistanis for complex surgeries and treatments and they have expressed gratitude to indian government. This fact is selectively ignored because it does not go with the flow.

Before we even get there, the biggest proof is Khulbhusan Yadav. No, not his confession, but the fact that he had a real passport with a fake identity. That can only mean India provided him a fake identity, and he was using that in Pakistan. At that point, it doesn't get more obvious.

There is no hatred between sindhis and urdu speakers , I am talking about the political leaders. As I said, tensions between the two ethnicities were high only in the past. Not that we hated before . Only ignorant sindhis would hate urdu speakers and vice versa. Many urdu speakers live in interior sindh and in harmony , not only Karachi.

Believe me, the waderas do not nearly have as much power as the media makes people think. It should also be noted that most Ppp leaders are not even sindhi. It has many punjabis and even some muhajirs

A quota selection does not equate to nepotism in my opinion. Even if the mqm claim is true, I can attest that discrimination exists against sindhis in government jobs. Many Sindhis find it difficult to get promoted. I personally know many cases like this. This is because there are very few sindhis in power. The waderas are not influential.
Sindhis can't get admission to KU and there are so many instances where nepotism is against sindhis. But I do agree that in some instances, such as filling of school teachers and other smaller jobs should be given to karachiites.

Karachiites are very successful in the private sector, which is much better than a government job in my opinion. It's not like karachiites are in dire need of government jobs.

The waderas and ppp are corrupt and are responsible for putting Interior Sindh in poverty, sindhis need jobs and are very weak in Pakistan.

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced a one-step upward promotion for the policeman killed during fight against the terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange, announcing Rs10 million compensation, promotion to next pay scale, two jobs in family, continuation of salary till the superannuation of the Shaheed policeman's family, and Rs5 million each for the three security guards who also laid their lives and a job in the police for each family.

"I also urged the PSX and the concerned bank whose security guards lost their lives will match the compensation as announced by him."

The CM was addressing a special ceremony on Tuesday organized at CPO paying tribute to the policemen and security guards who laid their lives and sustained multiple injuries while foiling the attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.

The CM said the attack on PSX might have caused us more loss than the attack on World Trade Tower made by Osama Bin Laden. "Credit goes to the Sindh government which made recruitments in the police purely on merit, otherwise this bravery and timely action against the terrorist might have not taken place," chief minister said.

Shah said the terrorists who attacked PSX had come from another province. "I have already issued necessary directives to the law enforcement agencies in the law and order meeting I had chaired on Monday," he said and added "we have decided to strengthen PSE security."

I agree with you and in fact empathize with Pakistan here that the world treats a terror attack in Pakistan as business as usual rather than a shocking and unacceptable incident. To be clear I think that is wrong.

Karachi stock exchange attackers’ car seen in TV drama

Pakistani television drama viewers were baffled on July 1 after seeing a car in a Har Pal Geo television drama.

This car had the same number plate, BAP-629, as the Toyota Corolla used by the Balochistan Liberation Army to attack the Pakistan Stock Exchange building in Karachi on June 29.

According to the Sindh Excise Department, the vehicle was registered in 2013 and is currently in the name of a bank.

If you go to YouTube to see drama Deewangi’s Episode 33, at 2:40 you can see the car parked in a parking lot while two characters stroll past it.

The drama premiered on July 1 and was reportedly shot 10 months back. The drama director or security officials both haven’t commented on the matter yet.

In the June 29 attack, four terrorists tried to storm the Pakistan Stock Exchange building, but failed to enter. They were killed within eight to 10 minutes by security forces.

A police officer and three security guards were martyred in the attack.

I have heard some Indians mention that the initial statement Pakistan proposed was changed by US and Germany, but they still signed off on the final statement. The final statement was only opposed by India.

So in either scenario, I am not seeing any reasonable justification for wanting to block the final statement other than it being proof that India is meddling in Balochistan and does not want pressure to stop doing that.

Car used in PSX attack had four different owners, documents show

KARACHI: New details about the car used in the recent Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) attack in Karachi reveal that the vehicle had four different owners before being used in the attack.

According to details unearthed by Geo News, the car was registered with its first owner on September 30, 2013. On December 28, 2016, the car was registered under its second owner, while it remained under the ownership of a third owner till June 25, 2020.

The documents further revealed that one of the attackers responsible for the June 29 PSX attack had the car transferred in his ownership on June 25, 2020 and cleared the car’s taxes till December 31, 2020.

The car, which was also spotted in an episode of Geo Entertainment TV show Deewangi’s 33rd episode, was in possession of its third owner at the time the television show was being recorded.

In the episode, two characters from the television show can be seen walking and talking in an open parking space at Hill Park. A car with the same number plate as the one used in the PSX attack can be seen in the foreground as the actors walk past it.

The episode in which the car appeared aired on July 1, 2020, two days after the attack took place. However, the episode itself had been shot 10 months earlier, on August 30, 2019.

The investigation into the PSX attack has revealed that the car was bought only recently by terrorists from a showroom in Karachi's Sabzimandi area. The car was bought on June 24, four days before the attack.

After unearthing the complete footage of the shoot, the Geo management had voluntarily handed it over to security officials in case it is helpful in their investigation.

Delaying approving is meaningless if it was only for a day or two. All sources are indicating India tried to get the statement not passed, while the other countries didn't show the same reservation. To me, this quite clearly shows that India is meddling in Balochistan. Not that we didn't have enough proof before. Khulbushan Yadav having a genuine passport with a fake identity is a smoking gun.

Investigators spoke to Geo News and said that authorities had obtained the camera from the terrorists after they had been neutralised. He added that important information had been extracted from the mobiles seized from the militants.

Shah also shared that one of the terrorists was killed a few seconds into the attack after being shot by a sub-inspector posted at the site.

The investigation officials further said that all four terrorists resided in Balochistan. They added that two among them hailed from the Kech district, one from Hoshab and the other belonged to Panjgur.

Militants' bid to storm PSX building foiled

Last week, four terrorists had attacked the PSX compound in Karachi, as a result of which a policeman and three security guards of the stock exchange were martyred while the four terrorists were killed in the retaliatory action of the forces.

Armed militants had arrived at the PSX compound in a sedan and attempted to enter it from the parking ground side, according to initial reports and eyewitness statements. They were seen shouldering backpacks and carrying automatic weaponry in an amateur video captured by an eyewitness. The equipment, arms and ammunition recovered from them indicated that they had come prepared for a long siege.

After failing to enter the compound, the militants launched a gun and grenade attack and attempted to storm the building while opening indiscriminate fire. They were engaged by security personnel posted there and failed to make headway amidst heavy exchange of fire.

Initial reports indicate that all four of the militants were killed near the entrance gates, before they could enter the building. Two security guards and a police sub-inspector laid down their lives foiling the attack.

The entire locality was later cordoned off by security forces and a search and clear operation was launched. The PSX was evacuated and the car that the militants arrived in was taken into custody.
