Sai Sudharsan, a graceful 22 years (15 October, 2001) old left handed top order batsman, He plays for the Tamil Nadu Who Made Debut today against South Africa in 1st ODI, India tour of South Africa 2023-24.

There is something special about this guy, Kent has offered him a contract even before playing for India. This guy has graduated from State leagues to International in two years time. Generally BCCI don't fast track guys unless they are extra special.
This guy with Jaiswal is our required LHB for future.

Aswin was a great proponent of sai's calibre. I saw sai batting on spin pitches in emerging asia cup, he was going backwards and nonchalantly taking the singles. He is already credited as a great player of spin by aswin.This guy can take rohits place in test team and will keep Gill,Jaiswal and other openers on their heels in odi and t20s.

Or these openers will throw him out.He has severe hamstring issues and he is not able to stay beyond 10 overs in the name of aggression to hide his fitness issues. I don't think he will be considered apart for his farewell series in odi at least now.

India are just rotating and seeing what works since the next ODI tournament of the CT is a while away.
I can see then bringing him back next year and giving him a send off in that CT.

Sudharsan returns to Surrey for next two matches​

India international batter Sai Sudharsan, external has returned to Surrey for the County Championship leaders' next two matches.

The 22-year-old joined the club for the final three matches of last season, playing in two.

He also linked up with Surrey for June's fixture with Essex at the Oval this year, scoring 26 runs across two innings.

Sudharsan, who has scored 127 runs in three one-day internationals for India, is available for Surrey's matches against Lancashire and Nottinghamshire.

Surrey are currently top of Division One and are looking to win their third County Championship title in a row.
