Good stuff. They actually acknowledged the existence of Babar

Hilarious how much you downplay your team. Isn't Babar Azam world's best batsman at present? In essence, he is one of the, if not the, leading figure in world cricket. I am sure many young Indian batsman looks upto him as an inspiration.

What do you mean by acknowledging his existence? :)))

BCCI/Ganguly/Indian players have nothing against Pak cricketers or PCB. They are all friends and share good bonding. They simply cant play cricket with Pakistan bcoz their hands are tied and you know the reason why.

Kohli and Babar have respect for each other. So, this image is not surprising.

This photo also describes modern day cricket quite well. Objective performance over sledging/drama.

No series with India doesn't bother me. I don't at all hate the Indian side rather they are a likable group of boys. Pak winning the match is enough for me.

Twitter on HYPE mode - Babar and Virat shake hands. Ngl, it brought a smile to my face too! :)

'Even if I remember that today, I can't sleep': Kapil Dev's major revelation on 'morale-crushing' 1986 loss to Pakistan
The former India captain made a major revelation on the 1986 game against Pakistan, where the side had clinched a one-wicket victory.

India will take on Pakistan in a blockbuster Asia Cup 2022 clash on August 28. The two countries have shared a rich cricketing history and even though bilateral series between India and Pakistan are currently at halt due to political tensions, their games precede enormous fanfare. Both sides have had a host of memorable encounters in the past and while India hold the upper edge in ICC tournaments, Pakistan lead in the overall head-to-head charts.

One of Pakistan's wins against India which is often revisited because of the game's dramatic end came in 1986, when Javed Miandad had famously hit a six on the final ball off Chetan Sharma with four runs required. It was the final of the Austral-Asia Cup and former India captain Kapil Dev, who was the skipper of the side in that game, revisited the heartbreaking loss for the side during a segment, Frenemies on Star Sports.

The former India all-rounder, in a conversation with Pakistan bowling great Wasim Akram (who was also part of the side's XI in the game), revealed that the defeat had a disastrous impact on India over the next four years!

“That famous game, where you (India) were on course to score 270. But then, I got three quick wickets and you eventually scored 245,” Akram began the story.

Kapil, then, jumped to the final over of the match. "We thought we should have 12-13 runs to defend in the last over of the match. It was a very difficult task, almost impossible in those times.

"When the last over came, we went to Chetan. To this day, I still feel it wasn't his mistake. They needed 4 runs on the last ball and we decided that it would be a low yorker. There was no other alternative. He tried his best, we all tried. It turned out to be a low full-toss. Miandad kept his backfoot intact and connected it. Even when we remember that today, we can't sleep. That defeat crushed the whole side's confidence for the next four years. It was very difficult to make a comeback from there.

Shaheen Shah Afridi meets India players

Lovely picture.

The mutual respect from both players is clearly visible.

Good to see the mutual respect between the players.

Between certain players. For sure Shaheen, Babar, Saqi and Yousuf will get respect from the Indians. Rizwan too though he isn't pictured here.

The rest not so much.

Chahal needs to put on some weight. I don't know how he's a professional cricketer with that physique.

:))) :)))

Now this is funny, post of the year tbh.

Never thought I'd see someone care about another cricketer's physique this much, you took it to a completely different level is what makes this so funny.

India vs Pakistan cricket connection is actually zero on the official level.

Not sure what’s our obsession with doing TC of India?

I don’t think any of the main Indian media outlets are advertising this Baber Kohli pic.

Not only A BIG MAJORITY of them hate us but they may be scared to put Kohli and/or his family’s life in danger by posting such pics on Indian channels.

Saqlain Mushtaq in a presser:

"Some years back, I went to play an All-Star Game, there were top 25 cricketers of the world and we were playing together. Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne got everyone together, that time around, I had put out a tweet. That match was being followed by just Indian and Pakistan cricket fans in America. Both Indian and Pakistan fans had stitched together flags and they were displaying it in unison"

"I had tweeted then that it is just not cricket and entertainment. It helps people understand so many things, it is bringing everyone together. When we play matches, emotions run high. But this game also helps in giving lessons about humanity. I think yesterday's picture between Babar and Virat gives a good message"

"It is entertainment, it is a sport. The emotions run high, but at the end of the day, it is a sport. We are trying to spread the message of love and kindness. That is why players from both countries mingle with each other."

One tends to care when they see the likes of Azam Khan and Chahal on screen. I'm surprised more people don't point this out.

Think you will find that people are more interested in what players achieve for their sides.

Babar needs to get bigger biceps lol. Uska sara 'doula' hi Kohli key haath mein agaya hai

On a serious note, lovely picture. Class players.

Someone like Azam Khan can hit 6 sixes in an over and I will still doubt his commitment to the team. Getting in shape is the very least a professional sportsperson can do. This is their job for which they get compensated handsomely. Ordinary people with much less motivation and pressure put in more work at the gym than these so-called professionals. I know for a fact that these guys don't try their best because it's impossible to be as unfit as them if you're working out even a little.

Look at players from Australia, England, New Zealand, and South Africa all of them look like athletes. Has society gotten so soft that we can't point out the obvious?

This is the bitter truth. I have read some posts on social media asking Virat Kohli to settle in Pakistan.

Boycotting movies and celebrities is at its peak in India so Kohli and others should be careful here. :inti

Not everyone in India is impressed by this show of affection.

The rivalry between India and Pakistan, two Asian powerhouses, will restart this Sunday (August 28) at the Asia Cup 2022 in Dubai, and fans and experts can't wait. However, players from both teams have been mingling at practice sessions.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) responded on Thursday with a video of speedster Shaheen Shah Afridi greeting the Indian players at the ICC Academy ground after the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a clip of Virat Kohli having a brief conversation with Babar Azam on Twitter on Wednesday.

Afridi, who has been ruled out of the competition due to a knee injury, is staying with the Pakistani team in Dubai because the management of the team wants to keep an eye on his recovery in the hopes that he would be fit for the T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia in October.

Shaheen can be seen speaking with Indian players Yuzvendra Chahal, Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul in the video released by the PCB. The players asked Shaheen about his injury and offered their best wishes for the next competition. As usual, Pant was being cheeky, and the two were spotted laughing heartily.

Sunil Joshi, a current selector and former spinner for India, was seen in the background of the film reminiscing with Pakistan head coach Saqlain Mushtaq and batting coach Mohammad Yousuf.

However, not everyone felt equally happy about the way the players from the two sides of a border were interacting with each other. Considering the kind of conflicts and wars that have taken place between the two countries, a lot of Indian fans were enraged with the Men in Blue for “forgetting the sacrifices of the Indian army” and gelling with the opposition as if nothing was wrong.

Despite the long-standing political tensions that exist between the two countries, the players enjoy friendly relationships with one another. Due to the suspension of their bilateral connections, India and Pakistan only compete against one another in multi-team tournaments.

I noticed very different pictures posted by the PCB compared to BCCI. PCB posted pictures of both Pakistani and Indian players greeting and talking etc. whereas BCCI chose to not post a single one of Pakistani players with Indian players.

It's no secret where the fault has lay for many years. Pakistan have always been keen to play India and have normal relations with them. BCCI admittedly are under intense pressure from a radicalised population not to engage with the PCB.

BCCI did post one.

But PCB going a little OTT on this.
