[VIDEOS] "We won the last game due to a good death over": Shaun Tait on the lack of yorkers

Bit comical exchange

Seems Shaun influenced by Saqlain...

This is how you handle Pakistani journos.

Talk down to them, make fun of their nonsensical question and leave them trying to justify their question in a hysterical fit of rage.

I just wish some of our players had the same attitude while answering these trolls.

I’ve seen this so much in club cricket. The overseas Australian pro arguing or explaining himself to the local uncle players

Apart from this, Tait provided no other insight into the game or Pakistan strategy. All answers were "T20 cricket, happens, they played well" etc

Question is, why put him up there?

Someone should tell him that sending him at such a time is part of Qudrat ka nizam

PCB media switched his mike off after that!

PCB's media handling leaves a lot to be desired.

Was it Zafar Gohar and Naseem Shah who were made to front up after an especially bad day in the field in NZL a few years ago ?

Don't think Tait has much influence on team strategy, bowling selection or tactics.

Good stuff by Tait. For a second I thought Mohammed Hafeez was asking that question. :hafeez :inti

Indeed yes.

Felt for both of them. They looked like rabbits caught in the headlights.

Disgraceful player management that.

Tait was wheezing after running up the stairs so the media manager asked him if he needs a bit to recover and shut off the mic.

My bad. I guess this is why you shouldn't make assumptions based on a photo or a headline.

He clearly didn't want to be there after that defeat. It was pathetic from the management to avoid the press themselves and sending the bowling coach out there who hasn't really come to the presser before. If you have to send him there, do it after a victory rather than after a horrendous day.

I like Saqlain and Babar, but their attitude regarding handling media is pretty awful and they are always unprepared.

On the other hand, Pakistani journos are arguably the worst when it comes to press and reporting. It wouldn't have been a shock if one of them had asked whether someone from Karachi (Hasnain or someone else) were being kept out because they belonged from there.

66 runs in the last 6 by Afghanistan with both Haris and Shaheen bowling at the death.
