Does anybody here still own, listen or buy them?

Vinyl production industry has seen a noticeable resurgence in the last few years.

Along with house, hiphop and soul records, over the last few years I have been importing and selling on a lot of rare older Indian and Pakistani lp's into my collection with the help of scouts in Mumbai, Delhi, Karachi and Lahore. The prices i am being offered now are very healthy from other collectors in the UK and US for some of my vinyls.

Original cassette tapes are also demanding good money of late, anyone else here also insane enough to be sucked in a similar time warp?

I still use Vinyl, and trade via Discogs. My collection is mostly Techno/Trance/Jungle/Breaks.

I miss the good old days of collecting vinyl, but do scour charity shops for bargins every now and then, plus internet purchases.

Of course still use my 1210s!

My dad has a collection. But no player to play.

normally use ebay, find discogs great as a database but slow when selling bargaining a price, was at a car boot sale on the weekend and found a few trance gems, Three Drives - Greece 2000, Richie Rich Salsa House, Chicane's offshore, paid £3 each.

Have had 1200's and 1210's in the past but at the moment happy with my Limit Replica direct drives and a 2 channel vestax mixer.

Same here. My gramophone's needle is broken. I can't find replacement for it. I have couple of 1930's record from the likes of K.L.Sehgal , Pankaj Mullick etc but no working player to test them with.
