He gets a lot of criticism but for this tweet alone, I say hats off!

And just hope 'others' can learn.

Looks like he wasn't a big fan of the lankans. Sanga and Murali big names to miss :P

Jokes aside, a very good gesture. Doesn't matter if its to promote his brand but he certainly knows how to behave like a well cultured sportsperson.

It's kind of strange how his progress has been. The more he's become successful, the more he's gotten mellow. Usually success gets to people's heads and they act brash, with him it's been complete opposite.

When was Inzi his teacher?

One doesn't necessarily have to be your teacher 'in class' or in this case 'on field'. I got into the field of science because of Elon Musk, Michio Kaku and Niel D. Tyson. They were never my teachers 'in class', simply an inspiration/role model. Same principle applies here.

Good gesture. Even though he's overrated on the field, his off-field behaviour has become a lot more likable over the past few years.

Not far-fetched to imagine him getting a few pointers from Inzi either.

should have been the teacher of many of those names. he is better than the majority of them.

some people say he is simply pulling an act to maintain popularity but I beg to differ

he seems genuinely humble and down to earth. has matured a lot with age.

Where is Wasim Akram in the list? I can barely see Imran Khan's name hiding behind.

Great gesture from the hated cricketer Kohli. He has massive respect for all his predecessors irrespective of nationality.

How dare he put Inzi's name next to the floor, shows 0 respect, he is a flat track bully.

That's still better than Gavaskar's fate, who seems to have been consigned to "below the floor".

Given that Gavaskar is arguably one of the two greatest Indian batsmen, that omission is a bit glaring.

Mostly batsman names are here.

I jest, but I think reason for the omission is because maybe he wants to bridge the gap between India and Pakistan so there are quite a few Pakistanis there. Not a bad cause.

I have always supported Kohli. He is a good lad at heart getting on well with everyone. Humble enough to remember his teachers shows he is not arrogant like many believe. So he plays hard on the field which is how it should be.

Yes, but Gavaskar was way before his time. And doubt he has as cracking a highlights reel as Sir Viv, who has made it onto the list.

And that's why he's my favorite cricketer of this era. Awesome batsman who is very humble off the field.

Never saw Tendulkar praising anyone like Kohli does.

He certainly has shown that he does appreciate the players/greats from Pakistan, and doesn't shy away from praising them, unlike a certain god who also has his name in the picture

Should have included Wasim Akram or Waqar Younis instead of Javed Miandad.

On another note his game does not resemble anybody's game i have ever seen. If you can mix Azharuddin with Tendulkar in the right proportion you might get him. Chipped flick over midwicket is Tendulkar's trademark shot. Kohli 's whip shot over midwicket is similar but he places the ball better. To do that he uses his wrists like Azharuddin while imparting lot of power like Tendulkar. It just hits the boundary in a flash. He uses wrists to play almost every single shot.
