First blame it all on Azhar ali and now on Misbah. Okay a better coach and captain might improve the efficiency of the team but is is enough? Misbah is incompetent but a worldclass coach won't improve this team by a lot.
Tell me any domestic performer that we can confidently say that he looks a great talent that can match the best young talent in the world. I have watched QEA and I agree with Tanvir Ahmed(Youtube show) that the quality of players in QEA is of low quality. We are simply not producing good players
There is potential to maximize resources. I’m not asking for us to be taken to number 1 in Tests - I know that is nigh impossible in at least the next 5 years.
But it is possible to keep fielding on a tight leash, and it is possible to develop C grade players into B grade players.
It is possible to have a coach who does NOT shorten the runup of a 150kph pace prospect, and who does know not to play a finger spinner on one of the least friendly pitches in the world.
It is possible to have a coach who knows how to use data, such as understanding the potency of the short ball against Chris Woakes, and can give victories to cherish when we do have our rare good days.
It is possible to have a coach who does not have an outdated limited overs mindset. Who does not play 37 year olds like Mohammad Irfan for no apparent reason.
I don’t think I’m asking for much.
