I didn't watch the great west Indies team of the 70's and 80's. The greatest team i watched was the great aussie team. And they dominated all kind of bowling attack , not only pace. They won against prime murali in lanka, , against prime kumble and bhajji in India, against saqlain and mushtaq
in Pakistan, when saqlain was in his prime. Compared to that, As my father said that West Indies faced India , our unholy trinity were at the end of there careers. In the 1980's only world class spinner was Abdul Qadir, and they didn't manage to win a single series against him. Even Narendra hirwani, who ended with an mediocre record managed to draw a series against them. Given that both team faced pacers of roughly the same quality, shouldn't this go against the west indies team while comparing them to the great Aussie team?
