What is the best bat for my style of play? (urgent help needed)

I'm

- 17 years old in Edmonton, Canada.
- 5ft 7 height, 110 pounds weight.

The pitches here are a little bit on the bouncy side.

My batting:

- Opening or 1 down batsmen
- Best shot - cover drive, straight drive (shots in the V)
- Weakest shot - pull shot to FAST bowlers (I can pull spinners and slow medium pace bowlers with ease)
- My style of play is basically to get the 1's and 2's and rotate the strike while putting the bad ball away.
- My boundary balls are pull shot (like I said on spinners & slow-medium bowlers), cut shot and flick.

- My batting style resembles that of Ian Bell, AB Devilliers and Dravid (technically sound)

I want a bat that has:

- Amazing balance and feather-light pickup
- 2lb 7oz or 2lb 8oz short handle
- Grade 1 unbleached english willow.

It should pickup REALLY light so that I can play pull shots and cut shots etc

The maximum $ I am willing to spend is around $270

What do you think of this bat? And what do you think abt UziSports.com site?

Woodworm ($194)

http://uzisports.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=571

According to the site, the retail of this bat is 220 gbp (around $400) and is in the "special clearance" section of the site.

Is this a good deal?

And I also found this

http://www.cricmart.com/products/CA-Cricket-Bat-PLUS-10000-GRADE-1.html

CA 10000 PLUS for $229. Is this a better deal?

Please let me know if you know of any super amazing bargain deal.

I'm willing to buy a 2lb 9oz bat as long as the pickup is REALLY light (like 2lb 7oz or something)

I want a bat that is amazingly BALANCED and has feather light pickup. Maximum middle spot possible and good toe protection.

Also, I'm open to the option of getting a Gray Nicholls, Puma, GM or any other bat that you feel will suit my style of batting, as long as I can get it for less then $270ish

Thanks

If you want to know what sort of middle you should get (low, mid or high), go onto the GM website and do the bat selector which asks a bunch of questions and reccomends one of their bat's to match your style. Don't have to buy a GM, but it will give you an idea of what kind of middle you are after and therfore will give you a good idea about what kind of bat to get, whatever the brand.

For $270 you can probably easily get a CA Plus 12000 TRD which will be premium grade one and can easily work out a way to get it 2'7.

In fact you'll even have some left over $$ for probably one of the best bats in the world atm.

The Dilshan TRD costs more then $400 bro

I think you might be thinking 270 gbp. I live in Canada lol.

$270 is like $165 GBP or so

I think a mid-hight middle would suit you best because you are opening and the piches are bouncy. The higher middle also helps with pick up because it won't be bottom heavy (the weight is more balanced). I would go with a light bat probably 2'7 because you are facing fast bowlers.

I'm talking about getting it from Pakistan direct. It's like 21,000 rupees

And how do I do that? I don't know any factories in pakistan where I can directly get it. I would LOVE to get a CA 12000 Plus TRD for $270. That'd be a deal of a lifetime!!!

Send Cover Drive a PM I guess, he'll help you out

Very good advice there.

OP did you follow this ?

You can even get it from CA factory.

I would suggest Flare 808, does it fall in your budget?

How do I get it from CA factory?

What do you guys think about this bat?

Is that a good deal for $229? CA 10000 Plus For $229

But I've never dealt with the site so I'm wondering if I should get it from there...

I contacted Uzi Sports and according to Asad Bhai http://uzisports.com/product_info.php?products_id=868 this bat fits my budget and is really good. He also mentioned that the woodworm bat for $194 is an amazing deal.

So I'm totally confused between these 3 bats.

My friend is getting Flare so I don't want to get it. If his bat is better then I will just use it in games (unless hes batting).

You contact CA in Sialkot directly.

I don't recommend cricmart as I have heard mixed reviews, I think adil bhai have dealt with them.

That Woodworm bat is definitely an old model.

Then why not get Icon ? If you get 2.7 and light pickup then it will be very light for you.

If you don't want GM then I would say TRD and would pick that over Woodworm and CA Plus 10000.

So I just did alot of research and found this site which sells CA 12000 for $294.

Anyone dealt with this site before?

Their 10000 plus model is $216

I think I'm going to get a CA over woodworm as CD bhai said, it is a old version.

Thanks for the help guys. You guys rock!!!!

$294 for CA 12000 Plus is high, you can get TRD in that

I dont know the exact process to get it shipped to canada from a factory.

Like who do I contact? Any email or phone # would definately help.

If I can get it for less then $300 I will get it right now.

Go to google. Type in sialkotshop. Click the link. Look at the bats. Find one that can suit your budget. End.

Get a light SS Ranger or PRO or something.

Or go with one of the CAs as suggested by CD.

better to go with something that feels or looks like your current bat. You dont want to stuff up your timing etc.

wat sort of bat do u hav currently? post some pics and from the shape everyone can give you better advice...
