What is the best bat for my style of play? (urgent help needed)
I'm
- 17 years old in Edmonton, Canada.
- 5ft 7 height, 110 pounds weight.
The pitches here are a little bit on the bouncy side.
My batting:
- Opening or 1 down batsmen
- Best shot - cover drive, straight drive (shots in the V)
- Weakest shot - pull shot to FAST bowlers (I can pull spinners and slow medium pace bowlers with ease)
- My style of play is basically to get the 1's and 2's and rotate the strike while putting the bad ball away.
- My boundary balls are pull shot (like I said on spinners & slow-medium bowlers), cut shot and flick.
- My batting style resembles that of Ian Bell, AB Devilliers and Dravid (technically sound)
I want a bat that has:
- Amazing balance and feather-light pickup
- 2lb 7oz or 2lb 8oz short handle
- Grade 1 unbleached english willow.
It should pickup REALLY light so that I can play pull shots and cut shots etc
The maximum $ I am willing to spend is around $270
What do you think of this bat? And what do you think abt UziSports.com site?
Woodworm ($194)
http://uzisports.com/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=571
According to the site, the retail of this bat is 220 gbp (around $400) and is in the "special clearance" section of the site.
Is this a good deal?
And I also found this
http://www.cricmart.com/products/CA-Cricket-Bat-PLUS-10000-GRADE-1.html
CA 10000 PLUS for $229. Is this a better deal?
Please let me know if you know of any super amazing bargain deal.
I'm willing to buy a 2lb 9oz bat as long as the pickup is REALLY light (like 2lb 7oz or something)
I want a bat that is amazingly BALANCED and has feather light pickup. Maximum middle spot possible and good toe protection.
Also, I'm open to the option of getting a Gray Nicholls, Puma, GM or any other bat that you feel will suit my style of batting, as long as I can get it for less then $270ish
Thanks
