Just to add why I stopped eating chocolates back when I was a kid there came a news report maybe false maybe true who knows that Cadbury chocolates have insects in them and my sister told me that.. After that I stopped eating them and never developed high craving for them ever again..

Don't most of the shops in India stock products like Kit Kat etc or is there more of a emphasis on the local products ?

lmao I've never heard anything like that before

One and only Kitkat... I don't like plain chocolate and i also don't like nuts and caramel in my chocolate

The GOAT :afridi do you also like the Kit Kat Chunky bar ?

nestle-kit-kat-chunky-red-700x700.jpg

Yep i do! There is an interesting fact about Kitkat:
Kit Kat manufacturers leave no Kit Kat uneaten. So, if quality assurance deems a certain Kit Kat not up to the Kit Kat standard of excellence, if it's misaligned, somehow flawed, or just not shiny enough, it will get lumped in with all the other imperfect Kit Kats.

The Kit Kat rejects all get mashed up together into a paste, which is then used to fill the wafers of other Kit Kats. So, if you think about it, the imperfect Kit Kats were already filled with other imperfect Kit Kats, and some of the Kit Kats they'll fill will also be rejected. Basically, every time you eat a Kit Kat you're eating tons of layers of Kit Kats within Kit Kats within Kit Kats.

All except dark chocolate!

But if I had to choose then it would probably be milky way regular chocolate

I love Chocolate - and I like those worst for health, that's creamy & sweet :(; so my external & internal doctor has imposed curfew on buying any chocolate.

I like Snickers bar most as a snacks. For milk chocolate any thing that's sweet & creamy with nuts :) - but if I get the chance to buy, I pick Hershey’s Symphony, Lindt & Sprungli (White one, awesome), Scharffen Berger, and of course Ferrero Rocher. But no issues with any chocolate that's creamy & sweet ....

My chocolate intake is drastically rationed for last few years - at one point, I often used to finish lunch with a Snickers bar & a bit of Milk Chocolate.

I love snickers as well, usually I prefer to have it with tea or hot chocolate when am in need of a quick breakfast :afridi

Kitkat (THE GOAT :don)
Raees (THE GOAT ALROUNDER :imran)
Tobleron (Although I like this one but he's a through and through Choker :kohli)

In that particular order

Hershey's, no question about it.

Had a chance to go to the Hershey's museum in NYC, but family wanted to go to the M&M museum instead. One of my biggest regrets in life that I want to correct someday.

These days I make do with whatever brand of unsweetened 90% cacao I find at the supermarket, but I would be lying if I said I like it. If I could have my way, I would probably opt for a Toblerone.

Oh man, how in the world did I forget Mars? That was another great bar.

Maltesers was also really good, but it wasn't a bar, it came in packets.

Deserved more attention than overrated m&m, the rapper, the wrapper, and the candy.

Mine changes constantly. It used to be Galaxy, then recently it was Wispa, now I'm into Terry's chocolate orange, but that won't last long. Will probably go back to Galaxy once I'm sick of those.

Anybody remember the Jubilee in Pak? That was delicious

ahmedwaqas92

Dairymilk silk
Galaxy
Hershey's kisses
Toblerone
Cadbury Gems
Ritter sport Goldschatz.

Everything is my favourite....:22:

Jubliee Tasted pretty good, however, the sticking in the teeth part after every bar was what never made me jump ship completely. This is also the reason why Mars and Snickers never appeal to me like Kitkat or Tobelaron.

shaz619
 1. Mars
 2. Snickers
 3. Bounty
 4. Hersheys
 5. Quality street (nestle)
 6. Milky Way
 7. Kit-Kat
 8. Toblerone
 9. Galaxy
 10. Milky Bar (desi brand)

In Exactly this order !

Am not a big fan of Mars, it wouldn't make my top 10 :mv Bounty is underrated though, I like it every now and then

Damn, I'm such a health freak these days I don't think I've had a single chocolate bar for a good few years now. Haven't even got the body to show for it tbh. Double Decker is really nice, I like snickers too

Then get back to eating chocolates bro, enjoy life :afridi

I feel the taste of snickers bars vary from place to place.

My childhood snickers experiences where all bought from the USA or Middle east. Since Snickers began manufacturing locally since 2010(?), we've been getting them much more widely here, but they taste DIFFERENT ! Maybe a drop in quality or the difference in the taste of Indian groundnuts ?

True. Snickers that we get here are not at all good or i think i am bored of eating it frequently i guess.

There was this green snickers with hazelnut in Germany which i haven't seen here in our stores. That one is better.

Anyone ever tried the Snickers Ice Cream bars ? OMG those are so heavenly

Yeah. remember this one. Heavenly, especially when well frozen. But there is actually one other brand that actually tastes something like this .

I eat chocolate between long lectures and while studying. I need to constantly feed my brain with glucose to remain active + i am not fat.:djb

Food loving non-fat Thaatha ? :D A rare breed indeed :23:

MILKA chocolate bars are just something else. They're pretty hard to find in the US but you can get them at those foreign grocery stores that carry the European stuff. Their hazelnut, butter biscuit, and airy marble are the best I've had. So smooth and creamy.

Also. Ritter Sport deserves a mention...one of the best chocolates on the planet.

This is a tough one.

Tallu bear likes his chocolate

Out of the classics I find it tough to call it between Mars and Kit Kat

At the same time a Twirl and a Yorkie can be pretty amazing.

The nut chocolate you get from Lidle is pretty awesome too.

I'm also quite a big fan of Lindor.

Gotta like you're chocolate :inzi

Freia Melkschokolade

A norwegian chocolate, Unsure if anyone here from Norway would be interesting to hear their thoughts on it

Mitchell's Jubilee
I think it used to cost 5 rupees back in the old days. Only chocolate I could afford from my pocket money as a chid, therefore my favorite.

Global cocoa prices have surged to a record high this week as bad weather conditions impact crops in West Africa.

Cocoa prices on the Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) in New York reached a new all-time high of $5,874 (£4,658) a ton on Thursday, closing up 7.3% at $5,805 (£4,604).

The cost of the core ingredient for making chocolate has almost doubled - rising about 90% - since the start of last year.

Chocolate production is concentrated among a few major players and some have their stock listed on the public markets.

US chocolate giant Hershey said on Thursday it is expecting a further slowdown in demand for its products from cash-conscious customers after its sales fell by 6.6% in the fourth quarter.

It also said higher cocoa prices are likely to limit its earnings this year.

Hershey gave no assurances about prices, with the company's chief executive Michele Buck saying in a call with analysts yesterday after its results: "We can't talk about future pricing."

She added: "Given where cocoa prices are, we will be using every tool in our toolbox, including pricing, as a way to manage the business."

Volumes at its rival, Mondelez - which manufactures well-known brands including Cadbury, Toblerone and Milka - also fell last quarter.

The surge in prices is also filtering through to shoppers.

In December, consumer watchdog Which? said the cost of some chocolate boxes had soared by more than 50%.

Manufacturers largely blamed supply issues and poor production.

The El Nino weather phenomenon is hurting cocoa production in the Ivory Coast and Ghana - the world's biggest and second-largest producers, respectively.

Cocoa crops are highly sensitive to weather changes.

Around 70% of the world's cocoa comes from West Africa so the commodity is very susceptible to price swings due to the weather.

An industry source told Reuters news agency traders fear the shortage will extend into next year, with missing volumes from this season's crop having to be filled with beans from the next.

Don't mind the odd Swiss chocolate as a special treat but my stock chocolate is Kit Kat, just bought 21 pack all to myself. I think the taste of Rowntree now owned by Nestle maker of KK is a bit better than Cadbury's.
