Well he was set at #7 in the Misbah-era though he was used as a floater at times.

He's suggested now that he will be willing to bat up the order depending on the circumstances so it will be interesting to see where he's placed in the lineup in upcoming matches.

#5 - plays spin well, but keeps, so #4 is too high, while #6/7 means he'll face the 2nd ball almost every time just in wicket.

depending on situation he can promote himself but should stay at no7, hes not the fittest that he keeps for 100 overs and then comes in to bat early

His regular position should be number 6. He can move up the order if the situation demands but should nor bat higher than number 6.

Most positive player in the team, and one who takes the challenge on the bowlers. Surely no 4, where Sangakara used to bat, should be the best position post MisYou.

Haris Sohail can bat at 3 in long term and Fawad/Usman at 5 to round up a compact middle order.

His batting order also depends on whether A Ali will open or not. If he opens then Id have Sarfraz at #5 or else at #6.
Ideally this should be Pakistan’s top 6

Azhar Ali
Sami Aslam/ Ahmed Shazad
Haris Sohail
Babar Azam
Sarfraz Ahmed
Asad Safiq/ Usman

Experiment with Safiq batting up the order should stop. He have the best numbers batting at #6 and should persist with it. He has the ability to bat around tailender and prevent(ocassionally) the late order collapse. Arthur has been experimenting alot with Pakistan’s test team and so far it has backfire.

With the current batting lineup he should bat at 4..the reason is the nature of the first 3 batsmen..they hardly score with 50 strike rate..Asad shafiq is also very slow in scoring runs..so we need someone who can score some quick runs.More over he is good player of spin and no.4 is the position where usually ball is older and spinners are in operation.

Needs to challenge himself a bit more but then the pressure of keeping is not something to be scoffed at. He does need some time to recover after a long day in field so sending him too early is not wise.
