What's stopping the team management from playing Faheem Ashraf?

Share 10 overs between hafeez and faheem , drop imad. Faheem is a fresh face and can hit it big , he might go for 8 an over but in the end can add valueable quick runs. We all were certain about him playing against india after his warmup performance but 'out of box ' thinking kept him out and even after humiliating defeat he is still out of 11. Cant really understand how pakistan team management works.

i dont see any reason to replace imad. this is how we mess up young players, because we dont have the confidence to drop the seniors.
to answer your question. Fahim is an all-rounder (i think?). so he should play instead of hafeez or malik. but if your selectors give you a team where the frontline batsmen are supposedly malik, hafeez, shehzad, azhar its difficult to drop them to play another all-rounder.

I agree, Imad is rubbish but we might get away with him against SA. The real dumb move was to play him against India who are renowned for being good players of slow bowling.

So far, PAK's last 4 scores in CT is between 161 to 170 - if, it doesn't change in next 2 matches - MoHa will lead PAK against SRL, come November. The stage is set - just 2 more matches in this ICC event, & he'll be able to "bowl" for 2 years before next WC.

I wonder, why no one can see that he is backed by every one - his Captain, Coach, Manager, Selector, Board Chairman, Media, Former players ................. even Mian Sharif. PP is a spoiled brat - doesn't matter what is written here.

Yes we dont have a strong team at the moment but we have few individuals who can may be win us a match on their day.

1) Babar Azam (By scoring a quick century): we all know he can do that
2) Mohammad Amir (Taking 3-4 wickets of the top order): Its not like he never did that before
3) Junaid Khan (Taking 3-4 wickets of the top order): We all remember series vs India in 2012 and even performed pretty well in SA vs Pak in SA where we win 2-1.
4) Shadab Khan (Bamboozling the batsmen with his googly and leg spin): Yes has only played few games and performance has only been agianst Westindies, but even in the last match Kohli wasnt picking his googly comfortably).
5) Sarfaraz and Malik can do it but need to play at 4 and 5, at their current positions its highly unlikely as the game is already built or destroyed by the time they come at the crease).
6) Imad (Finishing the middle or top order (If opening the bowling! Ahm Ahm): but they haven't played him previously so you never know.
7) And the Dark Horse Fakhar Zaman (Scoring a century showing the world of his arrival): This guy has got some natural talent and his game is not inspired by anyone, is in good form so fingers crossed)

Repalce Imad with Harris Sohail and replace Junaid with Faheem. That's the only way to score more than 300. Fakhar Zaman bowls betters dats than Imad, Harris is also left arm spinner, so why to play Imad. Junaid will be as bad as Wahab against SA. If we don't have strong bowling atleast make batting strong and use all rounders (Hafeez, Malik, Fakhar, Harris) to cover bowling. Junaid and Imad are neither good bowlers nor batsman, pure liabilities.

See everyone jumping on the Fahim Ashraf bandwagon after the India loss. Honestly I wanted him in the XI against India only if he performed in the warm up against Australia which was subsequently rained off. That kinda messed us up a bit as Fakhar and others didn't get a go to fight for a spot. Fahim seems like he would go at 8 an over, which is one factor against him. Also he has only had one big innings against Bangladesh bowling line up which is good but not the same quality as Indias or South Africa's. We will never know if he would have been able to perform against these sides. If Fahim is too come in it has to be for Imad, Hafeez plays more as a batting all rounder, whereas Imad is the bowling all rounder, so we can't really weaken our batting anymore. That said Hafeez isn't great with the bat- should be moved to number 6 or dropped for Haris. Ultimately Pakistan has to make some big decisions to move forward now
