Mohammad Amir made that wise choice and today Irfan has done the same. Guess who is and will be laughing soon?

Contrast Butt, Asif and in a manner Sharjeel and others.....

It appears that we all like people who admit to their guilt as do the authorities.

Irfan can take a 6 month break - and then should be back after that - case closed.

Irfan hasn't really done a big crime here for which everyone is after him, in my opinion

In the past alot of players never bothered to report approaches and would tell the approaches made years later.

To make sure the approaches were to be reported, it was needed for a player to be banned to set out an example.

In my eyes, Irfan's crime is like Yasir Shah's drug case(if you saw he took it on purpose.)

I don't think the narrative of aamir admitting immediately is correct. He admitted earlier than the other two but all three came around when they were well and truly caught. All three ended up in jail because they did not admit right away

I think he had the look on him from day 1 - others strutted around a bit more.

Sharjeel needs to accept his guilt ASAP

(if he knows that he is actually guilty)

But I think smart move is to admit it if you are a public figure. Sometimes people get bad advice!

Agreed. Admitting will only land you in better ground. However, our players have inflated egos and admitting to the crime will be the last thing they do! Eventually, when they do, they are not only cheats but also liars who never really learned their lesson and continued to lie to the nation and posing themselves as angels! Mainly why I don't want Salman Butt back..

Sharjeel has accepted failure to report and confessed to failure to report in front of PCB ACU.

But has denied fixing.

I think if he hadn't admitted his guilt he was facing a 3 to 5 year ban and the end of his career.

At least this way he can play in another PSL and play a couple more seasons of domestic cricket.

Yes it's the right way as we all should accept our mistakes and should try to rectify it.
