^ and also who do you think will be most likely to do it out of the current crop of players?

There are 120 balls in T20. So double ton would have to be scored at around 60 balls which is a strike rate of 333.

I don't think it could happen.

What do you think MMHS?

Well if your team mates believe in your ability than they could try to give you most of the strike. In an ideal scenario you could get around 110 balls to score from. But that is highly unlikely. Playing around 80 deliveries is more likely.

if there hasn't been a triple century in ODIs yet, then how do you think someone can score a double in T20

not realistic

You have to score 200 of 70 balls. You need a combination of 2 ABD knock of 30 ball 100 which is close to impossible in recent times.

The max a player can hope for is about 75 deliveries. It will have to be one of the top 3.

Some one like Martin Guptill who can go mental without having to settle in would be the likely ones.

its gonna happen eventually.

I can see Evin Lewis getting there if he was to play some minnow on a flat deck.

Can happen if ICC wish - some innovations can take this great game to space age batsmanship.

40 metres boundary, a bowling mat on half volley length (that's bowlers have to pitch 6 balls there), full over free hit for a no ball, restriction of bowling run-up (12 steps max.), 12 runs if you can send it outside stadium, 8, if it goes to top tier of stand, may be pay sponsors' money share to the bowlers for every SIX ...... these are innovations that can develop couple of Viv Richards in every club team - so yes, what 200, even 300 is possible - that takes about 35 SIX & 23 Fours, still a batsmen can afford some dots as well.

Chris Gayle scored 175 against a minnow team in the IPL. I think something closer to that can be achieved in the Internationals if one team is strong and other is a minnow.

Can Rohit Sharma score 200 in T20 game.

What do you guys think.
Today he was at 118 in 12th over when he got out.
Not impossible to score 200 in T20

A batsman will need to play at least 80 balls , also all shots he plays connects , luck will play a big role.

Today Rohit sharma had more than realistic chance when he got out. If you look at it he took lot of time upfront before he got going. Yet he got to 100 in 35 balls. Second half he didn't have to take that much time. He had full quota of 9 overs.

Rohit is the No.1 candidate followed by Lewis.

But I have a feeling some new comer will do it, like Fakhar Zaman. or someone who will be promoted up the order from his regular spot and would be asked to swing wildly. It wont be an experienced player. Just a hunch.
