More than anything the game of cricket is remembered or known for it's artistry. Some batsmen have revealed the artistic depth of painter Rembrandt or composer Beethoven.Below I am selecting the batsmen that would comprise the most elegant batsmen of all time who would take batting art to regions of sublime.

1.Victor Trumper
2.Mushtaq Ali
3.Zaheer Abbas
4.David Gower
5.Mohammad Azharrudin
6.Frank Worrell/Ranjitsinghji

To me all these batsmen were simply elegance personified taking batting art to the grace of the divine..They would caress the best balls to the fence treating them like a child. They resembled connoisseurs on a cricket field holding the bat like a wand. What could surpass an Azharrudin flick or glance, Zaheer Abbas's drives on either side of extra cover or a pull shot of David Gower?Mushtaq Ali and Trumper resembled magicians while Worrell and Ranji took batting grace to depths of divinity.A virtual photo between Worrell and Ranjitsinghji but I would always take Zaheer,Azhar and Gower who I saw in my lifetime.

The likes of Rohan Kanhai,Lawrence Rowe,Majid Khan and Gundappa Vishwanath just missed out.

In full follow, mostly against Zimbabwe, Hafeez is by far the most stylish of the current lot around. Saeed Anwar and Yousuf were a delight to watch as well.

Really tough call - only 6 spots. I like left handers for their style - Lara, Anwar, Sanga, Sir Gary, Gower, RN Harvey ..

Only few right hander worth mentioning are probably Mark W, Azhar, Zaheer, Majid, Worrell, Trumper, may be Vishi and definitely Kanhai.

My 6 will be Sanga, Gower, Sir Gary, Mark, Azhar & Rohan Kanhai.

Surprised to not see SRT in these lists.

Inzamam's 180 odd at Banglore was the most aesthetic display of batting I have watched in last 20 years. Not that I watch a lot now a days.
