Where would you say has the worst drivers in UK?

Support with evidence!

Bad drivers and a combination of bad infrastructure.

UK
1. Coventry - that ring road is suicide.
2. Bradford - Like driving in Pakistan at times. Especially at night near major resteraunts.
3. London - everyone is unnecessarily aggressive on the roads.

Overseas
1. Faisalabad - just madness. Uturns in the middle of the road. Random carts and vehicles that cannot be legal.
2. Cairo - only drive here if you have a death wish.

Bradford easily. Road rage, honking horns, tailgating and undertakes all over the place.

The city centre loop is no man’s land.

Any part of UK which has majority asian / black population has mostly rough drivers i notice.

Bradford. Next.

I would add Derby to that list even though it’s a small city, people be crazy

The Asian areas are the worst. Bradford comes out on top. In the South, I would say Southall.

Asian towns like Bradford, Manchester, Birmingham, East London, basically anywhere you have groups of Asian boys congregating together, most will be involved in some sort of fraud ,driving without license or driving stolen cars which means they dont care driving recklessly because most of the time they think they wont get caught or the blame wont come back onto them.

Much of the fraud is being dealt with now, it’s not as rampant. Maybe in the smaller city’s its still an issue. Also, asian isn’t the only community with certain driving habits

When talking about bad drivers, please don't ever forget Ilford.

Londoners generally don't have anywhere near the patience as the rest of the country when driving. An example is the A406/A12 roundabout near Redbridge station.

Several spring to mind due to the large Asian population who simply don't give a damn about driving or have any road sense.

You have to remember that most of the worst drivers don't even own their cars so they don't care less about their driving. Hire the car for a day and drive like an idiot is their motto.

Bradford is probably the worst, followed by Birmingham, London, Manchester.

Bradford isnt even in the top 10.

The only thing I'd say about Bradford is the lack of seatbelts. I have some relatives in Bradford who wanted to show me their car collection. When I went for a drive my relative was very offended when I put my seatbelt on. lol.

Top 10 acc to the highways agency, who take into account many factors such as speeding, traffic light running and other violations.

1. Bristol
2. London
3. Cardiff
4. Leeds
5. Glasgow
6. Birmingham
7. Manchester
8. Norwich
9. Nottingham
10. Southampton

Bristol doesnt have a large Asian community as Birmingham and Bradford.

I remember Bristol also used to be the car theft capital of the UK.

But the stats are wrong 'cos too many beemers and Golfs in Bradford and obviously paupers don't drive good cars and low intellect mirpuris can't drive.

Surprised Liverpool not on the list though

I think you only have to drive around Bradford for a few hours to realise just how dangerous and poor the standard of driving is.

Too many boy racers who don't have a care about their own safety or the safety of other road users.

The thing about Bradford probably is that unlike other towns you have more than the usual number of idiots

also kids are exposed to generational wealth in terms of family members having cars etc,

The amount of young kids that die in car crashes in our community are unfortunately also very high.

Yep i spent 12 years of my life in ilford and travelling through A406 at a snail’s pace. Dont miss any of that now that I moved to Birmingham.

Ilford lane does have plenty of amazing eat out options though.

Isnt it a fact that driving standards all over the UK have dropped to low levels as compared to the past?

Yes Im surprised too the driving standards agency listing doesnt show in top 10. I guess other towns are worse in terms of offences commited. Must get away with in Bradford.

I guess the police are busy dealing with more pressing matters in places such as Bradford, where drugs is a massive problem.

Any city with a large ethnic minority that drive nice cars because they've got enough disposal income due to living at home with their parents

A quick look suggests this list comes from a compensation claims company and isn't actually based on any real driving/accidents data at all, just a survey with a relatively tiny sample size. I wouldn't read too much into it.

Isn't that the same with all stats?. Do stats only count to suit ones own narrative and prejudice. Hmm

Clearly it would be a lot better to judge driving standards by direct driving/accidents data (although at the same time you'd have to account for whether the roads in general in certain locations are more dangerous). Asking a tiny sample of people a few questions of 'have you ever driven above the speed limit?', 'have you ever driven after drinking?' and 'have you ever used your mobile phone whilst driving?' and then extrapolating that on a ridiculous scale is very crude and clearly isn't going to get you stats that are very accurate. Added to that a tiny sample size makes the stats very easily influenced by whether the people surveyed are truthful or not.

I'm not sure what narrative or prejudice you think I've got here? Just assessing the quality of the data.

Are those just the incidents that are reported though ? There's many incidents which aren't reported.

I was actually working in Bradford today and was leaving a roundabout via the 1st exit in the left hand lane.

Some idiot in the lane next to me to go straight decided to change course last second and overtake me. Thankfully there was enough space to avoid a nasty incident.

Then there were some double mini roundabouts in an Asian area in BD5 which was like a scene from GTA. A complete free for all.

I think they are convictions.

I think the driving in the UK overall has worsened in recent decades.

I can predict these drivers who speed or cut up but I can never predict when an old person is behind the wheel, most dangerous imo. :))

The lack of police on the road is directly linked to an increase of poor driving on the road in recent years
