The average size of an NFL player is about 6'2” and 250 lbs. One of the most well known was William Perry nicknamed "The Refrigerator", height: 6'2", weight: 355 lbs.

With the padding and the helmets that they wear, they look even more imposing and look like gladiators. Have you seen some of the hits? I think that if a normal man got hit like that, he would end up in a coma or at least in a hospital.
So is American / Canadian football the most toughest team sport?

The toughest mens' sport is European rugby, by a country mile. The players are also the toughest one can find.

the title of the thread and the content doesn't make any sense.

toughest team sports will be the one which requires the extreme measures of co ordination of movement between each members and failure of one member could lead to disaster.

The toughest team sports in my eyes will be synchronized swimming. One moment of miss timing and all the results down the drain.
