I have recently gotten interested in InfoSec and I am thinking of switching my career to this field. My academic background is in computer programming.

So, how do I proceed? Which certifications should I go for?

Some tips would be appreciated.

Think you would need something like CySA+ but you may need to do the CompTIA A+ cert beforehand to get beginner level grounding in the matter.

you should start from A+, Network+ and Security+ or if you want to start from Cisco for network security then start from CCNA (Security).

Thanks, guys.

I already purchased CompTIA Security+ and I started to study it.

Should I go into Penetration Testing? How's the demand for it?

More tips would be appreciated. Thanks again.

Cool, hows the study going, you liking it so far?

Ethical hacking might be a useful or even necessary module on top of what you're studying.

Yeah. Loving it so far.
