So, which team do you think is the most unpopular and the most hated in the English Premier League, and why?

Man United because we are the most successful.

Could be because of this?

Disturbing schedules of the very game they are supposed to save? Hooligans walking on the pitch, stealing corner flags as souvenirs?

Protests were peaceful and getting glazers out of this football club is bigger than any game of football. We as United fans have had enough. We are sick and tired of our voices not being heard. This will get glazer's attention. Either they will agree to sell or they will fix up and start investing money into the club.

But is this is the way to do it?

With large protests, you're likely to have a couple of idiots causing an injury or damaging stuff like the media tripod. However, 99% of the people there were peaceful and just wanted to send a message to the owners by postponing the game and making the news. I think antagonising all United fans because of an incident here and there is disingenuous.

By the media it's definitely Arsenal. They always take pot shots at us . Also when Wenger said top 4 is like a trophy he was mocked, and now these same media pundits think top 4 is an achievement. There are many examples of this type of stuff from the British media hating on Arsenal for certain things. But when another team does it, it's fine.

Man Utd easily no doubt about it. There is just something incredibly hateable about them. No it is not due to their success before someone says that. Liverpool probably the most liked out of top clubs are equally if not more successful.

MU is only hated in UK due to the huge amounts of success its had, globally its the most loved european team there is and its not even close.

Arsenal are laughed at, not hated. There is a difference. Arsenal FC haven't commanded respect in a long time. Things like AFTV, the decline of the Wenger era and the exit from the top 4 have put paid to that.

Not really. They are hated precisely because they are global and have moved away from their roots in order to cash in on their global fan base. They are often referred to as plastic fans by the fans of other clubs who feel they are more representative of their regions.

I don't really hate any Premier League clubs, but I recall a lot of my Muslim friends and relatives hating Spurs.

It took me a few years to work out why.

I hear a lot of "words" being used for some clubs - not knowing the culture so much, do wonder what they mean!?

One reason Utd is hated most is there seems to be more tourists at Old Trafford than people from England. I would say 50% of Man Utd fans, dont know where Manchester is. :inti

Man United because we are the most successful.

Only by one trophy are you ahead of Liverpool overall. In Europe you are well behind us though. It is Man Utd's attitude that most Footie fans despise the most. This was also the case before Fergie's time it seems.

Over the last 20 odd years, Arsenal is the most hated club in England. However, in recent years, that hate turned into ridicule because Arsenal has become a joke of a club.

The major reason why Arsenal was disliked was because of being the biggest club in the capital and the third most successful club in the country, Arsenal didn’t have an English identity under Wenger.

During the glory days of Arsenal under Wenger, Arsenal had a few quality English players in the back-line but the core of their attack and midfield did not have any English presence.

After the likes of Wright, Adams, Seaman, Keown left, Arsenal did not have an English/British figures like Keane, Gerrard, Lampard, Terry, Rooney, Shearer, Carragher, Neville, Giggs, Beckham etc.

The English press did not identify with Arsenal and there was a clear anti-Arsenal bias in the press.

Wenger himself was a foreigner and he dominated and was better than all British managers except SAF. As the first successful foreign manager who paved the way for others, he had a lot of permanent enemies in the media.

Man United have been disliked as well because of their arrogant fans and because of how SAF always had the refs in his pocket.

In the last 2-3 years, Liverpool has been the most hated club. After winning the league after 30 years, their players acted as if they had conquered the world.

They even took pictures with the PL and UCL trophies side by side as if they had done a double :91:

This season, that hatred turned into ridicule because as Roy Keane aptly stated, they have proved to be the worst champions in PL history and Klopp is a sore loser who makes the worst possible excuses.

Some of their players such as TAA have also been exposed for being highly overrated.

At a smaller level, Stoke City was also hated during their run in the PL because of their pathetic football and dirty tactics. Almost everyone was delighted to see them relegated after 10 long years.

Nothing to do with words regarding Spurs, rather a religious angle for some.

Songs are sung in the terraces which do have a racist/religous angle.

Spurs are hated mainly because they think they are a great club but have been dusting off an empty trophy cabinet for decades. Their own fans hate the owners because they spend no money, this is factual and of course nothing to do with the owners religion.

Quite a few Arab and other Muslim supporters hate Spurs due to the religious angle.

ManU hated probably because they became to Internaional and less English.
Days when Ronaldo was in ManU was when the club started catching fancy of Indians bolly celebrities. Probably led to lot of tourists

They also have Muslim fans and some of their greatest players are Muslim but this is true. Doesn't apply to Ajax funnily..

Chelsea and Leicester had worse seasons defending...

Liverpool is the most hated, UTD was the most enviable when thy were winning but since SAF left the hate has toned down abit.

Manchester United is the most hated club I'm sure. Born out of envy of success but also because of Alex Ferguson's antics and referee luck/intimidation. Even if they've been less successful recently, the hate remains, especially with the recent love story between Fernandes and penalties.

I’ve voted Man City.

SAF Man United were the ultimate heel club of the Premier league but I genuinely miss those days. Back when football was real. It seems like football is going down the franchise cricket way now...

Chelsea owner Abramovich ‘donated $100m’ to Israeli settler group

Roman Abramovich, owner of English Premier League football club Chelsea, donated 74 million pounds ($100m) to an Israeli settler group that displaces Palestinians from occupied East Jerusalem, an investigation by BBC Arabic found.

Abramovich, a Russian national, was granted Israeli citizenship in 2018 and has donated generously to Israel.

He made the donations to Elad through his firms, according to leaked documents.

The donated amount makes the Abramovich the biggest donor to the settler group, which also receives support from the Israeli government.

BBC Arabic was told by Elad that the group conforms with Israeli NGO laws, but would not confirm that Abramovich was a donor.

An Elad spokesman was quoted by the news outlet as saying that Abramovich was “a committed and generous supporter of Israeli and Jewish civil society, and over the past 20 years he has donated over five hundred million dollars to support healthcare, science, education and Jewish communities in Israel and around the world”.

Elad is accused of supporting settlements in Silwan, an area of occupied East Jerusalem, where 450 settlers live amongst 10,000 Palestinians, according to The Guardian
