Which players have booked their place for the Pakistan vs Ireland Test?

From the batsmen Imam and Harris with 2 half centuries so far and Shafiq with a 150 plus seemed to have booked their place. Babar also chipped in with a fluent 50 and Azhar isn't going anywhere.

Among the bowlers, Shadab, Abbas and Rahat were all among the wickets with Amir and Faheem not claiming even one scalp however did they did get the ball to swing a bit and Faheem had a couple of drops off his bowling.

So who do you think has booked a spot for Ireland Test?

We all know Azhar is going nowhere same goes for Sarfraz. So the only change we might see is Rahat in place of Amir and Hasan instead of Faheem.

There were three questions leading into this tour:

- Who will be our second opener ?
- Do we go for a five man attack or play six specialist batsmen ?
- Who will form our pace attack ?

Imam has jumped ahead of Aslam in the opening pecking order with two fifties in the tour matches so I expect him to partner Azhar in Dublin.

Ashraf didn't do anything in this match to convince me he's a Test class AR and anyway we badly need a batting AR to balance our Test XI to ensure we can have both a strong batting lineup AND a fifth bowler, not a bowling AR.

Until that happens, I prefer we play six specialist batsmen given our batting is flaky anyway. As for the pacers, Rahat is banging on the door but I expect Amir (for whom the excuses are fast running out) to lead the attack despite his lacklustre performances.

But as he is not selected I will go with Usman/Saad at 6.

i think they play the team from this last practice game with 2 changes... Hassan will play over Fahim, and they will probably want to include one of the batsmen. My guess is Sami, and move Azhar to the middle order. I think Abbas is the most likely to lose his spot

Technically Amir should be dropped as all the other pacers did well in the 2 practice games. It will be unfair to drop them to include a bowler who hasn't taken a wicket in the game and seems disinterested in this format.

There's no need to play Faheem in this match, should be assessed again in our next pratcice match before England tests. We can definitely manage to play 5 bats in this match but should go for six in Lords, Usman,Saad & Fakhar should be tried in next practice match & the better performer to get a debut in Lords.
