Kamran Akmal
Mohamad Irfan
Sohaib Maqsood
Sohail Tanvir
Sohail Khan
Imran Khan
Iftikhar
Sarfaraz Ahmed
Umaid Asif
Sohail Akhtar

I don't think any of the above have any chance of playing for Pakistan cricket team in t20i hence they should NOT be in PSL in my opinion.

Your thoughts?

What a joke. They are all not going to play for Pakistan but they are still better performers than mental midgets like Rohail Nazir

Its franchise cricket. Focus of the teams is on winning matches so whatever player they think can deliver for them will remain in the team.

Their chance of playing for Pakistan doesnt impact their selection in PSL and to be honest it shouldn’t.

Even in the domestic competitions (Talking about National T20 or Pakistan Cup) there has to be a fine balance you need atleast some players who might not have a chance to play for Pakistan but, can create the much needed competition at domestic level.

So your answer to the question is Rohail and that's all? Cool. I guess you are pretty happy with the current PSL standards then.

I’d rather see the players you mentioned over the likes of Muhammad Faizan, Saim Ayub etc.

Also, most of these players would easily walk into the Pakistan team in all formats.

You are correct and there's no denying that. However, if it were up to you.... Who'd you NOT want to see in PSL?

You seem oblivious to the fact that these players help make PSL a competitive league because most of these guys are good to great performers in PSL. And hence, they are a necessity for young talent to rise to the top. Because when a young player gets the wicket of Kamran Akmal or smashes Mohammad Irfan for a six, he will feel confident that he could get the better of a guy who was once a first-choice pick for Pakistan. And that will motivate him and give him more confidence.

Also, PSL is not all about finding new talent. If anything, that is a secondary purpose. PSL exists first and foremost as a cash-cow for the PCB, something it can only be if it provides quality entertainment to the fans.

Agree with Redwood. If you get rid of those names listed, you will be stuck looking for some kind of decent performers to actually make the tournament worth watching

Mohammad Faizan would definitely be one.

Sohail Akhtar while is doing extremely well for LQ but, I would obviously prefer a young opener playing with Fakhar and a Pak regular like Shaheen or Fakhar leading the side.

Sohaib Maqsood and Iftikhar are still in the national radar and I wont be surprised if one of them one day makes a come back.

Obviously would like few of the others you have mentioned to be replaced by some upcoming youngsters but, I think its automatically going to happen in terms of natural transition as well in next year or two. I would like this to happen but, it would be better if there are youngsters pushing the door open themselves.

It's difficult to watch with pathetic performances from guys like Azam, Haider, Rohail, Musa, Naseem, Saim, Husnain, Shadab, Saud, Talat, Ahsan, etc.

Thankfully, you have guys like Irfan, S. Akhtar, S. Khan, S. Tanvir, S Maqsood, K. Akmal, S. Ahmed, I. Khan, I. Ahmed, and U. Asif who save the league from being complete trash.
