In terms of quality of cricket and overall entertainment, I think second season of PSL has been absolutely incredible and is getting better and better as the tournament moves forward. We have witnessed Some really intense nail biters and great cricket overall.

What i like the most is that it's not an absolute run fest with no respite for the bowlers and its neither a dull low scoring affair. Apart from a couple of low scoring match here and there, most matches have seen competitive scores in mid to high range which shows that all players, batsmen or bowlers, have an equal chance of doing well.

In top 5 wicket takers , 4 are fast bowlers which shows that fast bowlers too can do well on these pitches and not just spinners.

Compared to first season, more upcoming talent is visible. The likes of shadab, usama mir, hussein talat, hassan khan, fakhar zamaan have shown that the cupboard might not be completely empty.

To move on from the negative events concerning spot fixing and play this brand of cricket shows the resilience of Pakistan cricket. With its highs and lows, it continues to amaze us.

The first one just for the novelty of it.The second season has definitely produced the better cricket and more youngsters have stepped up compared to the first edition.

I presume the ban of Sharjeel Khan has soured many fans from this particular edition.

Personally speaking, i think the show has gone on and become better and more interesting.

it was initially but everyone seems to have forgotten him now..we very happy that youngsters like shadab, hassan and talat have stepped up. For a week i was disinterested but now its great entertainment

season 2
season 1 didnt end well for me as Quetta lost in final :'(

me being from Islamabad and supporting Quetta didn't help either :p

First season was good one but this season is fantastic. Lots of nail biters and close matches and that is psl for you. Just keeps on producing thrillers. Keep on enjoying.

Season 2. As others have mentioned, the fixing incident did hamper some excitement, but the emergence of younger talent and exciting matches have washed over that.

Season 2 - most of the matches are close, wickets are better compared to 1st one & Sammy, Baz replacing Afridi & Azhar at toss took it to a different class in leadership.

Season 2 had a slow start but as the competition has gone on it has certainly became really entertaining. The fact that we will not know till the last game which will be the 4th team to qualify is fantastic, and we have had some brilliant games.

Season 1 sure had a certain X factor since it was the first season, but for me I'd have to say the 2nd season has taken the cake for me.

Season 1 had the BEST final. Very exciting, thriller and high scoring.

Season 2 matches have been decent, can the final be good as well?

This season. Plenty of close matches, good balance between bat and ball.

Some of the batting has been diabolical though, e.g. Lahore 59 all out, teams stumbling in simple chases. Really wanted us to unearth a good young local batsman like we did with Sharjeel in PSL 1.

Still we got Shadab Khan and Hussain Talat.

We haven't given any young batsman a chance. The young players that have been given chances have showed that they belong.

Yes, I'm amazed Khushdil Shah hasn't had one game yet Maqsood has been retained in the XI despite not producing one damn innings of note.

We have the FINAL group match tomorrow and all five teams are still in it. Doesn't get any closer than that.

This season has been FANTASTIC. Alot better than last season.

Surely the second one with many nail biting contests, but fixing cases has reduced its enjoyment to some extent.

One reason i watch domestic tournaments is to see upcoming players..

This season have given us Shadab who is a superstar in the making..

also matches in this season have been more entertaining

Despite Khalid & Sharjeel bans this season has been better. But this Final fiasco is making it sour.

Season 2 had a very poor start (without factoring in the match-fixing) but things picked up in Sharjah. The last few games though have been brilliant and thus overall, I think it has an edge on last year.

I was thinking the same. If the players who contributed to their teams reaching the final can't play in the final , it will leave a bad taste in the mouth.
