I have to admit I have a soft spot for Egypt (Salah factor) but given that Egypt are not likely to progress too far (!), my next favourite is Germany!

Always have backed England, always have been let down. Looking in better shape than they were going into Rio though so quietly optimistic they perform well this time. Definitely backing Egypt for Salah but who isn't.

Always Brazil..., due to one and only Ronaldo R9...
Same here, because of Ronoldo ,I started following Brazil from 1998 and supported them till 2010.
In 2014 was supporting Germany and these two teams will be my favorite for this wc

In Bangladesh half the country root for Azentina and the other half for Brajil.

I'm probably gonna be rooting for Turkey (if they are in the WC) or Iran.

England. Where I was born and where I live.

Spain. I love their culture then there is the Real and Barca attraction. Just stop stealing Liverpool players!:afridi1

I always support the South Americans Brazil and Argentina. Brazil's flair and Argentina's mental toughness have always impressed me.

In addition to theabove, I'm always fond of Spain and France.

I have a sneaky feeling that France will take this one. Last time I was supporting Germany and they won the World Cup. For all it’s worth, I think Argentina will give them a run for their money. Spain will be a close third, followed by Portugal and/or Brazil.

Mexico and Japan love both teams and also love seeing upsets hoping some underdogs shine this tournament

I’ll support Spain although I won’t mind if Brazil or France win the World Cup.

I hope neither Portugal or Argentina win.The trolling from Messi/Ronaldo fans would be unbearable.

I really like the German style of play but I think France might win it this year their team is hella strong.

When i was a kid Manchester United ruled club football and David Beckham was huge. So England was my team for a while but as i watched more tournaments i realized there was something special about the way the Germans played football. They didn't have many charismatic and globally popular players but they always played as a unit and excelled. Then of course came the golden generation and Germany was THE team of most tournaments played in last 8-10 years despite not having won most of them. Amazing nation. Amazing depth of talent. They could probably field 3 teams in this tournament and they'd all meet in the knock outs. Absolutely love their attacking no nonsense attitude on the field. From a viewers point of view the most exciting team to watch by a mile. Biggest draw in football. Hoping for another showdown with Brazil.

I didn't know even that the fifa wc would take place in this year. Lol. Feeling a bit embarrassed now.

Brazil> Germany> France> Argentina.

Brazil is too powerful this time.

Spain. It’s hard to support any other team once you watch them play.

so how we doing now? :D

Any changes to this?

It was always France - even before start. Actually 4 years back - in my facebook page, I did write in 2014 that France will come back in 2018 to win it from Germany. They were the better team against them, eventual winners in 2014, but got hurt by a set piece (& from very unlikely source) - at the end, bar & the MoM of that day, Neuer sent France back home, otherwise Karim could have got a hat-trick that day!!!!!!

But, tomorrow may the better team win. This French generation will come back again in 2022 among favorites, but for a country of 4mn population, Croats might have to wait for another 20 years for such a golden generation - then comes the small task of actually making it to the WC Finals.
