In recent years, Pakistan has made some eyebrow-raising diplomatic moves — from recommending Donald Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize due to his role in de-escalating a crisis with India, to Imran Khan’s controversial visit to Moscow on the very day Russia invaded Ukraine. Both decisions sparked global and domestic backlash, raising questions about timing, optics, and strategic judgment.

So here’s the question: Which was the bigger diplomatic misstep — nominating Trump for a peace prize, or showing up in Moscow as tanks rolled into Ukraine?

Yes IK’s Russia visit decision was immature one, he too realised his mistake that’s why after loosing his presidentship, IK openly praised India’s foreign policy and diplomacy in a rally.

Asif Munir and current Pakistan leadership falls to Trump’s plot… why Pakistan leadership backed Trump for noble peace prize in a hurry? They should have waited…..After US attacks on Iran’s nuclear site, now definitely suspicion grows in Iran’s mind over Pakistan.

Good thread bro . Certain you taking hint from what was i post few minutes ago .

Pakistan is such a country that at the time of Russia's Ukraine invasion, its PM was in Russia and now at the time of USA's attack on Iran, Pakistan's failed marshal is also in USA

:kp

Imran wasn’t aware Russia was going to invade Ukraine.

But nominating Trump for Nobel peace prize in the middle of Gaza crisis, Iran war is the dumbest thing a Muslim majority nation can do.

Frankly it’s the dumbest thing any nation could do but Pakistan being a Muslim nation doing this made them look like cheap slaves to the Americans at a time the majority of Muslim nations have been standing their ground with pride.

There is no move that is as dumb as nominating trump... They can take it back now. thanks.

Pakistan is also literally the only country in the world, which has nominated Donald Trump for a Nobel peace prize. There was no global movement going on to support Trump. America’s historic allies, the G7, the Europeans, NATO members etc, no other country felt compelled to do so.

But Pakistan were desperate to please Trump and they made a fool of themselves.

IK was doing it for PK, Munir was doing it for himself. And thats The difference between a leader and a criminal. IK wouldn't have personally benefited from cheap oil, Munir hopes to stay in power until his death and sucking up to Trump atm and Biden before him, and this will guarantee eternal power that as the public hate and his cabal of crooks. Munir believes more in America more than Allah

OP having his head stuck in Babar's rear end is worse.

No comparison. Imran Khan's visit was for his people. This is shameless chaploosi.

You can skin a cat in many ways and the more, I think about this nomination, the more I see what the zionists have in store for PK. While any country could have nominated Trump, the fact that this task was left to Munir and his associates raises important questions. Why them, and why now? We know that the Arabs have been dealt with,Iran has possibly been neutered and that leaves PK still to be dealt with. With this nomination, followed closely by an attack just two days later, seems to have deepened the divide between the Shia minority and the Pakistani state. This on top of the Junta not having any popular support in PK. They already have the TTP and the BLA eating away at the edges. Soon Munir and Co will be told that PK cant have Nuclear weapons because it isn't a stable state and the Zionists will want an unconditional surrender. We are in deep lumber and you can see why IK was overthrown by the International powers.

According to some Papers, Iron Uncle Victor Gao will never let anything happen to Pakistan regime

Shehbaz once again nominates Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Monday called US President Donald Trump a "man of peace".

Addressing a press conference after the Gaza peace agreement signing in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh, Shehbaz saluted President Trump for his services and said that he saved the lives of millions of people. He once again nominated Trump for the next Nobel Peace Prize.

He said the Indo-Pak war could have escalated to an extent that no one could have imagined. He said the history would remember President Trump in golden letters.

Trump said no one could have believed that the Gaza peace agreement would be reached. He said that peace in the Middle East seemed impossible to people. He said that war in Gaza was over and peace had returned to the city.

Referring to the US military in his speech, Trump said it was the most powerful army in the world. He said, “I want to thank Mr. Shehbaz Sharif and my favourite Field Marshal. “Since the Field Marshal is not here, please convey my thanks to him,” Trump told Shehbaz. He said that history would remember President Trump in golden letters.

There is no reason other then hate to vote for Imran Khan's Ukraine visit because unless ISI had infiltrated Russian security services and knew Russian state secrets and briefed Imran Khan on it, there is no way he would have known months in advance about it.

Hate cannot be defeated even when it is absurdly stupid!

Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Imran visit Russia before Putin invaded? So he did not know that was going to happen.
His exact visit day coincided with Russia’s official attack/ declaration of war. However no one was surprised about Russia attacking Ukraine as it was on the cards for few years by that point and probably even more heated a few months before the actual attack.

Having said that, there were definitely some global power like USA, Saudi or China involved in Imran Khan’s ouster and jail along with internal issues also playing a part.

It is not that easy to arrest a former PM/leader of a country no matter who is taking vendetta internally without raising any ripple among international community.

Also seems like Imran Khans failed diplomacy as he doesn’t seem to have powerful friends nor his supporters seem idealistic enough to do anything about it.

Everyone knows there was foreign involvement recently in Nepal, Bangladesh so while Russia visit may have had a small or no part to play, Imran Khan failed to toe the status quo either by being too idealistic or having a failed diplomacy. There is no in between.

Imran Khan seems idealistic and paid the price. He went full 'tard when he could have taken a more cunning safer machivalean approach.

Muslim world leadership unfortunately is compromised so badly right now that to reach a high governing position and to hold any significant power, the Muslim wannabe leader has to toe the line of non-muslim or satanic powers whether it's via the threat and influence of intelligence agencies such as CIA, Mossad, ISI etc or toe the line to rich and powerful sponsors within the leader's own political sphere, which can be other heads of states, royal members, bankers or tycoons.

At the top, either you get conquered by your own environment and live and hold power long enough to see your self become the villain that your satanic corrupted ego will not even realize as you end up giving global prizes hypocritically to people to curry favors or you don't compromise and end up like Imran or many others previous to him such as King Faisal.

Trump wants Nobel Prize...he saw a golden chance when Munir ran for help after the pounding from Brahmos...he saves Munirs..Munir nominates him for nobel Prize..imagine the relief..Sharif was thanking Trump everywhere for saving the country .without him ...the 26 Hindus would have been avenged by more than the 155 soldiers and X number of airmen..so it's just gratitude ..

Ik did not know.

Shabaz even in the y'day peace deal was so soft and accommodating to what Trump was saying. Trump literally pushed him on the mike, asking him to appreciate publicly and nominate him. You are a nuclear power , no need to budge so much to another nation's president

Tbf it was known to IK Russia would invade Ukraine before he flew off but imo he did the correct thing. Pakistan has to improve relations with such a huge nation and power.

What Sharif did was to ....HUMILATE Pakistan. He pretty much took off his salwar to a fake tanned war criminal, a person who boasted about sending great weapons to Israel to butcher children.

Say what you said in private, Trump ordered the buffon.

Really? Has your family attended Oxford? I think you have shown your colours as another shamless whose mask just fell off.
lol whatever.

Keep attacking everyone.

I don’t support any politician or political party. Zardari is the biggest piece of **** to ever exist in Pakistani history, the Sharifs are all shamelessly corrupt and Imran is stupid. I mean why on earth did he bow down in front of a grave at his wife’s orders? Extremely dodgy and bordering on shirk!

I don’t support what happened to Imran being locked up, as I don’t think he is corrupt and I also don’t support what happened to his wife.

Trump has the biggest ego and these crooks parading as politicians know this all too well. The MAIN reason they are touching Trumps toes is they know if the US is fully behind the government and generals, there is no chance of IK coming back to power. Sure any US government could also be this close to the current Pak rulers but these folk are paranoid, they saw Trump praising IK previously so are giving him more pats on the back.

The whole Middle East Peace thing was a joke, as this conflict is far from over. For Pakistan to be part when they cant even provide weapons to the resistance shows this is no Islamic Republic but a Banana godless republic because of the current rulers.

He is handling the situation like an Alpha and not giving in to American demands of GM corps entering Indian market. Trump has humiliated allies in Europe and everywhere.

Shahbaz has been blowing Trump constantly but at what cost? I don't see any economic indicators getting right in Pakistan. There is hardly any investment coming through. It's a thankless blow job from Shahbaz

Your mask slipped. For you to compare these treacherous, immoral and criminal thieves with a guy that was doing his best for his country shows your own morality. You guys always slip up after a while and you have.
I dont support any politician is normally code for, I support criminals but I don't have the cajones to admit it.

My only comment was he’s dim. I didn’t call him corrupt, I didn’t call him anything else and you got mad. Lol you are ridiculous. You will alienate everyone for your over the top infatuation with Imran Khan.

Let me make it clear, Imran is not perfect. He made mistakes and I wish he was a dictator because that would suit him so he could do better for the country more effectively than through the traitors that he had to deal with even within his own party.

Why are the PTI boys so much against the Sharifs and Zardaris? It's the army which has brought them to the power for its purpose. Isn't your anger misdirected?

Imran was at least consistent on his principles I feel.

But Shahbaz (controlled by Pak Army) are cringe. The straight up buttering of Trump was cringe. No principles at all. Run to anyone who throws money at them.

Whether you agree ot not, Pakistan’s leadership, both the army and its puppet civilian government has put on a masterclass in diplomatic survival over the past few months.

To many Pakistanis, PM Shehbaz Sharif’s repeated attempts to appease Donald Trump through awkward and borderline cringe flattery may appear humiliating and desperate. Yet if you keep the emotions aside, it reflects a shrewd realism. Pakistan, despite being economically broken and socially fragile has managed to place itself right in the middle of the geopolitical theatre which is a remarkable achievement for a nation on the brink of irrelevance not long ago.

In a world increasingly divided between US and China, Pakistan enjoys cordial political and defence ties with both. This dual engagement has yielded tangible financial and diplomatic benefits, helping Pakistan stay afloat when total collapse seemed imminent.

High-headedness is a luxury only few nations can afford. Nations with god given or hard earned leverage. The rest must master the art of strategic submission and Pakistan’s establishment, for all its flaws, has done that with finesse.

However, this success in optics and diplomacy means little if in time it doesn’t translate into real change on the ground. Many Pakistanis rightly wish that the same energy spent on information propaganda and in managing foreign relationships was directed toward solving domestic crises like inflation, unemployment, governance, and education. For now, the regime seems more focused on protecting its own power structure than securing long-term national progress.

Still, one hopes this is a transitional phase. If Pakistan can convert its current diplomatic leverage into genuine reforms and economic revival, it would benefit not just its own people but the region at large. A stable and prosperous Pakistan is in India’s interest too.

Indians must view Pakistan’s current geopolitical maneuvering not with contempt, but with pragmatic understanding. Beneath the theatrics lies a struggling regime fighting for relevance and survival in an unforgiving world and perhaps, in that struggle, there are lessons for everyone.
