Hello PakPassion, I am currently working on making a list of the best cricketers, decade by decade, stretching back to the 70s, and wondered what your opinion would be on the most recent decade?

No poll, as that can be too insular, so let's post and discuss while I build my list.

Just a sneak peek, some of the cricketers I believe are the best of the best so far -

Kohli, duh. The best all format batsman in the time period.
Hashim Amla and AB make up the SA contingent, who knows, maybe even the lightning bolt of Rabada and the ageing Steyn?
Let's not forget Kallis, Cook and even KP operated in the last decade.

What of Root, Smith, Stokes? Younis Khan? The latter years of Sanga?

So much to choose from.

Kohli.
Williamson.
De Villiers.
Gayle.
Babar.
Root.
Dhoni.
Shakib.
Smith.
Warner.
Rohit.

These are the names that come to my mind (not necessarily in that order).

You can consider ICC list of winners and Nominees.

2010-19 was Virat Kohli’s decade by a country mile. You have to be complete bonkers to claim otherwise.

He was the leading run-scorer and leading century-maker by a massive margin and established himself as the most successful Asian Test captain (by wins).

He literally has no competition for the cricketer of the decade prize.

1. Steven Peter Devereux Smith

2. AB De Villiers

3. Virat Kohli

4. James Anderson

5. Ravichandran Ashwin

*only included players that played a major part of the decade so minimum 6 years.

Virat Kohli, it's not even debatable.

Smith, who is by far the greatest Test batsman we have seen in a long time comes a distant second, that tells us a lot about how dominant Kohli has been during the last 10 years.

A bit surprised no mention of Pakistan’s premier batsman in this decade - then again I think it was the decade before when he was piling up big 150s and double tons, when there was better quality fast bowling around also.
