22 tenures in total (with NS and BN having multiple terms) but lets talk about the newer ones.

We all have our likes and dislikes but please put in proper arguments without emotions (if possible!)

Liaquat Ali.

No comparison he could have been our Nehru -unfortunately his untimely death changed the fortunes of Pakistan forever.

The best PM of Pakistan is yet to come. Among the ones we have had, I think Liaquat Ali khan was better than all others.

Only due to the fact that his tenure was difficult because of the post-partition problems.

No one deserved to be the "best" , but the worst was ZAB, caused long term damage to Pakistan , including breakup of Pakistan, closely followed by Sharif and Benazir.

I just remembered since i am born I know just two PM's like I experienced these two one is Nawaz Sharif and second one is Imran Khan but according to me Imran khan is better not the best but he's better.

Nawaz sharif..he single handedly created a national health service. Ended poverty. Single handedly created a nuke..made lahore into Paris.. created a new Pakistani tech industry..they should make statues of this great leader

A agree , and watched that short movie how NS was making nuclear bomb in a cave, single handedly with a hammer. :qdkcheeky: :rp

Ayub Khan for his massive investment in Pakistan infrastructure including building two big dams - Mangla and Tarbela. After Ayub, it has to be ZAB.

The worst have to be Zardari, Nawaz and Imran.

Ayub was a military dictator and ZAB lost the elections and cheated his way to the seat.

I’d take the likes of Imran Khan over those two anytime if the day. In the end, democracy must be allowed to progress.

My leader.... Mr. Nawaja Sharif Butt. Single handedly made Pakistan a space faring nation. IMF, US, China, WB all come to Pakistan asking for loans due to the policies of this great man. He connected the length and breadth of the country with motorways and bullet trains. Heck there is an international airport in even the remotest of towns. Some say he even dreamed of creating Pakistan before MA Jinnah himself.

I'd like to hear opinions about Benazir as well.

That's not his last name

In terms of foreign policy and increasing Pakistan's presence and stature on the world stage it has to be Imran Khan by a country mile, I've had so many Muslims from various countries around the world praise Imran Khan, he's seen as a strong leader, of course he has has flaws like Erdogan and Mahathir but they all have a fan following for a reason and command respect. I can't speak about about Khan's performance on Pakistan's domestic issues and the economy but in my view Pakistan has had a consistently mediocre economy since its inception and I don't know if it gets any better.

Is Pakistan a failed state?.

No, you know a state has failed when you see scenes that the world saw in Afghanistan and Venezuela recently, Somalia and Eritrea are failed states, Libya might be one, Syria was close to failing but Pakistan is nowhere near a failed state.

Ayub and ZAB were the reason behind we lost then East Pakistan . Ayub Khan derailed the democracy in Pakistan , Fatima Jinnah would have been the PM otherwise.

Benazir was a big failure also, she let lose her husband ( i'm sure she wanted it too ) to take Pakistan to the new heights ( or lows ) of corruption which was maintained and even made worst by Sharifs. She was a very weak leader, did not achieve anything significant during her tenure, I think she was also kind of dumb . She has been famous due to being the first female PM of any Islamic country and people has sympathies for her due to unfortunate way she was killed, really a sad day in Pakistan's history.

I recall when she came to power, we were also hopeful as looked like we had finally made it!

I remember when BB came back in 86, and some people had such high hopes but as the subsequent years showed, she was corrupt and along with NS, destroyed all the institutions, not that they were in a good state before these crooks arrived. For all his weakness ZAB wasn't in politics to make money, BB was greedy and her party robbed the poor that had put so much faith in her. To this day the PPP remains a mafia front to loot the poor of PK.

Benazir Bhutto only came into politics to avenge her father's death. This was her motive; not the betterment of Pakistan.
