Who is currently the best Asian fast bowler?

Not the greatest times for fast bowling, particularly in Asia, still who according to you is the best Asian fast bowler right now?

1) Mohammad Shami (excellent stats in ODIs, okish in tests, bowls good testing spells but seems to be fighting against injuries since 2015 WC)

2) Mustafizur Rahman (astonishing stats, also troubled by injuries, yet to prove himself in tests and foreign conditions, arguably most talented of the lot)

3) Mohammad Amir (coming back from a long ban, admired all over the world by the best batsmen for his talent, test stats have taken a hit due to dropped catches and as some say lack of support)

4) Mohammad Asif (a lot of posters genuinely believe he is in the top 5 pacers in world cricket right now)

Would be great to have a poll on this. @ mods - Please feel free to add more names.

I don't go purely by stats, but the ability to bowl opposition out, match-winning or match-changing spells or match. That's what needed to win matches in overseas and that's why Wahab is in my list despite having an average similar to Ishant's.

BUT, I can't deny Shami is better on sheer performance and that should count for a lot. You can never go wrong with someone who bowls with such heart.

It would have been much better if OP had replaced amir with lakmal as potential candidate especially when he decimated strong souhafrican batting lineup just yesterday.

Lakmal is there in the poll. One can be the best bowler based on potential as well, thats why Amir is there. He is leading by the way.

Bhuvi is highly underrated pacer here...Has 5 wicket hauls on differrent surfaces...For me Bhuvi is 2nd best pacer from Subcontinent after Shami right now...
Aamir is hugely overrated...So is Wahab
