Just booked my flights to Dubai for the first week of PSL. Tickets for the Dubai games aren't yet available. Just wanted to ask the Dubai locals and people who have attended the games before about the best places to stay and how to get to the games. I'm thinking about staying in the JBR area and ubering to the stadium.

I will be going to the LQ games in Lahore InshAllah. Only a 4 hour drive to see an ATG like AB in his prime is something I would never miss out on.

I will be most likely there on behalf of PP :)

The Dubai cricket stadium is a bit out of the city . . you can't get to it via metro, so cab or uber is the best option . .

Where you stay is dependent on your budget . . JBR, Marina areas are more expensive . . and about a 20 min drive to teh stadium . .
Barsha is cheaper with good hotels and closer to the stadium . . about a 10 min drive . .
I have gone to about 10 to 12 games on average every season and you don't usually have to worry about traffic in Dubai cuz hardly anyone comes to watch . . lol . . Except maybe on the first day of the tournament and semi finals and final, you won't have trouble getting in and out of the stadium . .but this time, the last few gmes are in pakistan, so should be okay . .

Sharjah is different though . . a lot more people and the stadium is in the middle of the city, so not a lot of space to park and stuff . .

From JBR about 30 mins max to DSC

Sharjah - will stay as close as you can to it as traffic is crazy

Thanks bhai. My only concern with uber is that after the game they'll be lots of people wanting to use it and might get stuck waiting for the cab/paying surge prices. If I were to hire a car, what's the parking like at DSC?

Seems like jbr is a good option, both in terms of proximity to stealth m stadium and keeping the wife happy.

Only going for the first week so won't get to see the sharjah games unfortunately.
