Seeing the One Day final and the horrible standards of fielding, it made me think who is the responsible for player development in Pakistan.

Let me explain.
In the UK a player is lets say contracted to Yorkshire or Lancashire, the county will invest in the player and train him. Diet, fitness, and his batting, bowling, fielding skills.

The same happens in Australia when a player is part of a Shield team like NSW.

but in Pakistan, within the same year, the player will play for PIA, then for Karachi in the One day cup, then for Rawalpindi RAMS, then for another team. Basically a new team in every tournament.

So the question is
1. Who develops the players?
2. Do these various teams have a dedicated coaching staff or literally for every tournament a new team is assembled.

This is a serious case of concern, if literally no one is responsible and everything is upon the dysfunctional NCA.

Who shows these guys their video of their batting, bowling etc...

There is literally no system in Pakistan. The fact that we even manage to compete at the highest level and win trophies is a miracle in itself imo considering how far behind we are the rest of the countries in terms of a cricketing structure and merit based selection.

No one!!! but you already know who 'll be first in line to take credit for the player...

We do it the Pakistani way:

Apni madad aap

But if you succeed everyone from Najam Sethi to your school chowkidaar will take credit for it

Your view on Danish aziz development?

Haven't seen, so can't tell. But, I told you last time - PCB should arrange PSL in PAK with 4, max. 5 willing foreigners and rest from domestic resources.

The horrible standards for batting, bowling, fielding, fitness, diets is a huge enigma. Pakistan had the same domestic structure from the 70's to 90's and early 2000's so why has everything gone to the dogs in domestic cricket?

it was always left to either English counties or individuals to take care of the players in Pak setup. Most of the players who excelled in pakistan either had county exposure where they benefited by professional setup or were highly motivated individuals who took care of themselves. Now that the option of counties have reduced for pakistan players it is left to individuals to take care of themselves. If you look back in the last two decades all the players who did well in Pakistan, did so due to sheer hardwork on their part and PCB has very little do with their success. Since the contribution of counties as a finishing school as reduced for Pak cricket, we can see only those who are willing to take care of themselves doing well. Younis, Misbha, Shoaib Mailk, all are highly self motivated individuals and owe their success to their hard-work rather than PCB.

Hopefully players like Hasan Ali, Shadbad, Fakhar will pick up the cue and work for themselves and keep themselves motivated instead of depending on PCB to their work
