Your table doesn't include Pant's 2nd hundred but De Kock is back and is hands down the no.1 keeper batsman.

I meant to filter from the start of last year, seem to have gotten it wrong as it's only showing 2018.

Edit: fixed.

QDK... impact player, had a dip in performance but he been used perfectly at #6. Opens in ODIs but when he couldn't do it in tests brought back to #6...

This sort of thinking is needed by pakistani players... had hafeez been used #6 in ODIs or tests he would have won pakistan many matches but too bad our egos are bigger than anything....

Great era for wk/batsmen. Guys who can smash the ball to all parts and keep wicket very well and there's also Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Lol bairstow averages less than 30. Foakes is very impressive no doubt. Qdk has regressed somewhat. Going by that list I suppose you need to be a minimum 35 averaging bat as a keeper to get considered decent.

These days you really need 40+ bat average to be considered decent in my opinion.

Since Bairstow doesn’t count I’ll go with De Kock.

Remember when we were told Sarfraz would walk into any team in the world which included India and SA? :))

Must have played 5 tests at that point. Pakistani players always look great until the rest of the world find them out after that burst of beginner's luck.

That comment was a couple of months ago when Sarfraz was in rubbish form.

You are considered exceptionally good if you can do that. Gilly, Flower and Sanga were exceptional. Dhoni good. Very few other keeper bats in history have averaged 40 + with bat over their careers. BJ Watling is what teams should ideally look for. Wicket -keeping is very demanding and i'd rather have a world class WK who averages 35 with the bat. Anything else is a bonus. Runs are for the top 6 to make.

BJW. Hardly misses a catch, probably best in the world with the gloves, and invariably comes up clutch runs when his team needs them most.

Yep. This is my answer too. Solid wicket keeper who scores when the chips are down with a career average of around 38

I think de Kock out of that list will be considered the best by the time he retires. He has lost his way with the bat over the last year and a half, but he's too talented to not be able to work it out. Have no qualms about his keeping.

If I had to pick someone over the last 12 months, I'd pick Paine for doing a commendable job under impossible circumstances. Out of the others Watling is pretty dependable, while Pant has a lot of promise with the bat but I am afraid his wicketkeeping will always be decidedly average unless he works really hard on his technique. I don't think he'll ever be as good a keeper as Dhoni.

saha - best test keeper bat
de cock - best odi
pant - best t 20

bairstow second in all three formats .

Qdk. Watling is very good as well.

Bairstow doesnt count now I would assume.
