Some excellent performers to step up to the plate for Pakistan in 2017.

My favourite has to be Shadab Khan for his energy and skills!

I'll go with Shadab Khan . He's come out of nowhere and shown flashes of his potential in all 3 facets of the game. Plenty more to come from him.

I went for Fakhar Zaman.

You can't look past his performances in the ICC Champions trophy, especially in the final.

Gotta go with Shadab, star in the making. Seeing how tough it was to pick this makes us realize that we have a solid future ahead with guys like these

Shadab, Fakhar and Faheem. This was a productive year in terms of newcomers. A long shot from what we used to have under a certain captain.

We needed a good aggressive batsman badly and we got one in Fakhar, so he is my pick though, Shadab and Faheem are pretty good finds too.

Shadab followed by Fahim. Fakhar is too streaky, I don't have faith in him replicating his CT form while I'm very confident the former two can and will continue to improve and develop on a very good platform. Shadab's temperament and Fahim's speed are two aspects of each's arsenal that have seriously impressed.

Definitely Shadab.

Need to see more of Fahim to make an accurate judgement

Shadab khan without a doubt.
Faheem has done nothing of significance except the hat trick.
Fakhar played an atg innings but failed to carry that momentum forward.

I think we must also look at which player excites us most and Faheem is up there with Shadab in my view

Faheem for me. This is someone who if they live up to their billing will make us competitive and a complete team.

Even though Shadab is a complete package, we already have had the service of spin bowling all-rounders in Hafeez, and Imad where Hafeez played in the top order and bowled economically. Plus we were crying out loud for someone who can actually clear the ropes in the later half of the innings.

He hasn't done much, I know, but for me he is the most exciting unproved prospect right now. Shadab isn't far behind but I don't really rate Fakhar that much.

No doubt Shadab Khan. With the bat, with the ball, in the field he has helped transform Pakistan limited overs cricket. Has been a consistent performer and matchwinner and one of our best players in 2017

Shadab Khan has been a great find but FZ is easily the best player of the year.

None. Shahdab is bits n pieces, Fakhar is poor man's Rohit and Faheem hasnt even done anything substantial yet. I'd go with Hasan Ali as the last good new comer.

Shadab will develop into a proper allrounder who will matches with both bat and bowl.

Much better than the pretender we had in past.

Shadab is along with Rashid the best leg-spinning prospect in LOI and has contributed with the bat when given the chance, not to mention won a game. Faheem has bowled around 135-140 kph and shown to be a clean striker of the ball which we haven’t had since the days of AR. Fakhar is an impact player who has been a breath of fresh air at the top. How many accumulators as openers have we tried and failed? Too many to count. A great year for Pakistan’s LOI with those 3 at the healm of it.

1. Shadab Khan
2. Faheem Ashraf
3. Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar lucily got hundred in that final other wise he was really confused facing a major opponent in a big match. But he played well in the semi-final infact better than the finals. IF you click in the big matches, it makes your career. Remember how Wahab Riaz enjoyed in place in the team just b/c of his one spell against Watson in 2015 WC.

Send him at No. 3 in easy matches as well as the High run chase matches. So we can see / judge his true batting talent.

I would like to mention few other names who deserve chances in National ODI side (not PSL).

1. Saad Ali - Middle Order LHB (bats at no.4) - the highest Runs Scorer in Quaid e Azam Trophy 2017-18 season. Will play for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2018

2. Hasan Mohsin - Batting All Rounder - RHB and Right Arm Medium - the Highest Pakistani Scorer in Under-19 World Cup 2016. Will play for Karachi Kings in PSL 2018.

3. Mir Hamza - Left Arm Bowler - A sensational bowling talent. Will play for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2018.

4. Saud Shakeel - Middle Order LHB (bats at no.3 / 4). Good talented. Plays for PTV and will play for Quetta Gladiators in PSL 2018.

Shadab for sure. One of the most exciting talents to come out of Pakistan in some time. He's shown great skill as a bowler, is already our best fielder, and shown real potential with the bat too. And he hasn't even turned 20 yet. Hopefully he stays focused and committed.

Yeah both him and Faheem should be promoted up the order when the chase is easy.

We can try him at No. 3 even when the chase is 300+ it will be is real test. If he clicks, will become permanent member of ODI side. These type of matches makes or breaks many careers.

I remember when Wasim Akram started sending Abdul Razzaq at No. 3 and he scored, thus become leading All rounder of that era.

Ricky Ponting also the one, who promoted Steven Smith to bat at upper numbers, otherwise Smith started as a leg-spinner not as a proper batsman.

I would first like Babar at no 3 to win matches for Pakistan chasing 300+ as we need him more in chases for longterm.

Pakistan will very rarely have to chase 300 inshallah :)

Not in UAE

Hopefully we will play more cricket with Quality teams on their home ground like South Africa, Australia, India, England & New Zealand.

I don't rate matches with West Indies, Srilanka, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe as serious.

Watching one of our newcomers in the BBL now. Shadab Khan in action for Brisbane.

Shadab and Abbas ending the year strongly with good performances domestically

Shadab winning this easily and who can question that?

Best debutant of 2017

Thought we could have a bit of fun here too. So let's hear it.

IMO Fakhar Zaman takes this by a country mile. Not many players have turned up, on debut, in an ICC tournament and took the game by storm like he did.
